00:00Okay, so here's the thing. Thank you so much for putting this back up on the screen, Alex.
00:07We're looking at the standings right now. Philadelphia in first place, one game ahead
00:11of the Dodgers and the Brewers. I say one game ahead. What I mean is they're leading
00:15their division, but they've got one more win and two fewer losses. So your leaders, Philadelphia,
00:19the Dodgers and Milwaukee. But when you look at the NL wildcard race, Atlanta and San Diego
00:24are kind of tied right there at about the same record. Atlanta's got 60 wins and 51
00:28losses. The Padres, on the other hand, 61 and 52. Arizona is just a little bit behind
00:33and then just go underneath that. The Mets, the Cardinals, and that's the one I want to
00:36focus on the Pittsburgh Pirates. You realize, guys, that the Padres start a series against
00:44the Pirates tomorrow in Pittsburgh. When was the last time anybody ever went on national
00:51radio and national television and said the Padres and the Pirates are a huge series?
01:00Guess what? It is. Yeah, I don't think it's ever been said before, you know, Padres. And
01:06I haven't even looked because I'm focused on just that series. But I didn't look at
01:09what the Dodgers have coming up this week and I didn't look at what Arizona has coming
01:12up this week. So the Dodgers have Philadelphia. Is that in Philly or is that in L.A.? That's
01:17in L.A. OK, and then Arizona. Have you have you looked at Arizona also? Because by the
01:21way, in Cleveland, OK, these are huge series. These are these are incredibly important series.
01:29You have two first place teams going head to head in L.A. and Philadelphia. You've got
01:34a team like Pittsburgh that's trying desperately to claw their way and be realistically in
01:38the wildcard chase. You've got the Padres that have come out hot in the second half
01:42and you've got Arizona who's getting healthy, taking on a very, very good Cleveland team.
01:47This is going to be another huge week for teams in the NL West, especially the top three.
01:53If Philadelphia continues to smash the way that they've been smashing all season, they
01:57might take they might take this series. And I'm pretty sure Cleveland is going to handle
02:02business against Arizona because they're still not fully back. So if those two things go
02:07that way, we should see the Padres be a little continued success against good teams against
02:14Pittsburgh. Now, the idea that you keep running your mouth about this whole division thing
02:21may go from four and a half to three and a half by the end of the all three of these
02:26series. And now we're talking because I said, if you get within a series of the division
02:32now, I'm interested. You're one game away from doing that. Well, the reason I say that
02:37this is going to be an interesting week is because let's just say Philadelphia takes
02:40two out of three against the Dodgers, which could happen. It could happen by the same
02:46token. The Padres go into Pittsburgh. They could take two out of three. They could also
02:49lose two out of three. They could also be swept. Didn't the Pirates sweep the Padres
02:53earlier this season? They sweep them. They beat them in either one way or another. I'm
03:00just saying it like this. These are three huge series, L.A. versus Philadelphia, San
03:06Diego at Pittsburgh and Arizona at Cleveland. Those are three monster series. And then you're
03:12thinking about last year when the Pirates, when the Padres went into a really weird stretch
03:15and got swept by the Pirates. Yeah. Yeah. OK. But they play the Pirates six times in
03:21the next nine or ten days. Pittsburgh at Miami, then back home versus Pittsburgh. Kind of
03:28thinking maybe should we have my son be a correspondent on the street of Pittsburgh?
03:32You know, like, should he go down? Because he lives right by the ballpark. Maybe not
03:35on the street, but just get him in front of PNC and the number one ballpark in America
03:39allegedly and get him to give us a little report. It is a beautiful day for the Padres.
03:44It looks like they are going to avoid Paul Skeens because he just pitched yesterday.
03:48Yeah, that's that's the thing I want to see. I want to see the Padres take on Skeens. Yeah,
03:53I don't I don't know. Well, it gives you a better chance to win some games if you don't
03:58have to see him, that's for sure.
