Woman Drives 10 Hours To Rescue A Paralyzed Dog

00:00I was shocked to see her so skinny and injured.

00:09She was being kept by an elderly couple who first found her.

00:13They knew I was the founder of a non-profit animal rescue called Dos Almas and called

00:18me.

00:19She was in a small town 10 hours away from me, but knowing her story, I didn't hesitate

00:23to drive all the way there to get her.

00:26I believe she never gave up on herself, and this was the moment she was waiting for.

00:36When we got to the rescue, she was so confused and scared.

00:42I was so happy though, because I knew that from that point on, everything was going to

00:46get better.

00:50When I came back the next day, it felt like she was another dog.

00:54I could see she had so much energy.

01:02I spent that whole afternoon with her.

01:05We had the best time.

01:07Once she had gained some weight and was strong enough, we started to do some therapy.

01:14She was so happy and motivated.

01:16This was a huge win for her.

01:23Since she was able to use her front legs, we gave her a wheelchair.

01:27She had some difficulty getting used to it, but then she seemed so happy every time she

01:34went for a walk.

01:39We developed a very special bond, and she would get so happy when she saw me.

01:47The favorite part of my day is when I come to visit her and take her for a walk.

01:55She loves going around the neighborhood, and she is full of energy every day.
