00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. reminded the new career executive service officers
00:05that the government has given them a chance to lead the country.
00:09This is through providing quality and honest service to the Filipinos.

00:19More than 140 career executive service officers, or CESO, were assigned to Malacanang.
00:26President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. was the one to lead the process.
00:30At the same time, the President gave four civil executive service awardees.
00:36Regional Director Josefina Abilay, Assistant Secretary Teresa Camba,
00:43Schools Division Superintendent Miguel Apusin, and OIC Deputy Executive Director Eduardo Quilan.
00:52Your dedication to public service, to finding solutions to problems that beset our people,
00:58especially those in isolated areas, and to harnessing technologies available to us,
01:04fortifies my faith once more in the career executive service.
01:09In his speech, President Marcos recognized the successful career executives.
01:15At the same time, he called on them to be partners in the country's advancement.
01:21We will continue to strengthen the CES.
01:23This year, we were able to increase the CES occupancy rate from 44% to 50% from the previous years.

01:37This is part of our target under the Philippine Development Plan 2023 to 2028.
01:43President Marcos also called on the civil servants to ensure the ongoing government programs.

01:59I would like to remind you that you have also taken on the Herculean task
02:04of upholding the highest ethical standards in your career wherever it is that you are serving.
