00:00Some hog growers in Matangas are worried about their livelihood because of the recent cases of African Swine Fever there.
00:07Because of that, the LGU ordered the biosecurity and obtaining the permits of the pigs.
00:14The Matangas Provincial Veterinary Office is not yet sure where the ASF virus came from and how it spread,
00:21but there is a high possibility that it came from the vehicles or the people themselves.
00:27That's why the delivery trucks that carry the pigs cannot just enter and exit.
00:34They also need to show their acceptance certificate and barangay permit.
00:38The Provincial Veterinary Office has not yet released the data on how many cases of ASF they have reported.
00:45According to the monitoring of the Department of Agriculture,
00:48there are around 285 to 380 pesos per kilo of ASF here in Metro Manila,
00:54while 320 to 400 pesos per kilo in Miempo.
