00:10shows the same child ripping up a plastic waste bag and throwing it on the
00:14line as a train waits to move forward. Network Rail have revealed trespass
00:19incidents are more frequent on its north and east route during the summer months
00:23with 70% reported between April and September last year. Such incidents cause
00:29passengers nearly 12,000 minutes of delays on the railway and they're
00:33urging people to remember the consequences of trespassing and the
00:36devastating impact it can have on themselves, their family, passengers and
00:40the wider community as well as train drivers. Nationally statistics show that
00:45on average at least two people risk their lives on the railway every hour.
00:49This summer the rail industry is continuing to educate people living in
00:54or near high-risk areas about the dangers of railway trespassing.
