Covid infections among Olympic athletes: WHO urges governments to 'strengthen approach'

The WHO says it is "not surprising" that athletes have been infected during the Paris Olympic Games amid a new global rise in cases. "Governments need to be strengthening their approach to using Covid vaccines, especially ahead of the winter months in the northern hemisphere," adds Maria Van Kerkhove, WHO epidemic and pandemic preparedness and prevention director, in Geneva.

00:09We aren't seeing the levels of impact like we saw in 2020, 2021, 2022, and that's because
