00:00We had a great lead out again and a great work from Markus and Rasmus during the stage,
00:07so I'm very happy and pleased with the team performance.
00:10I think it will be too hard for me to defend the jersey, but we have Lekinsen, we have
00:13Magnus that can climb very well, also maybe Abrahamsen, so we will see how we can do tomorrow
00:20with these guys.
00:23There's no doubts, the big obstacle in this year's Arctic race sits at the end of stage
00:29three.
00:30The Jakobsbacken climb, never been visited before, but casting a shadow over the entire
00:36sunny race.
00:38The mares cut the bunting and we were off and underway.
00:42Would there be a break?
00:43Would they make it home?
00:45155 kilometres up ahead of the field, and indeed seven went up the road before they
00:52started to fracture early, leaving six to duke it out, including, of course, Johanik,
00:58the man who would be king of the mountains, wearing that amazing jersey belonging to him
01:05and the racing race about to reveal itself to us.
01:08They passed through plenty of tunnels on this day, but really it was the climb to the sky
01:13at the finale that was going to beguile.
01:17Time to take it on, time for that gap to be closed down and with 55 kilometres remaining,
01:23it was still a handsome lead.
01:26Slowly but surely, Uno-X gained control and Mark Tholgaard, the Norwegian champion, the
01:32engine of the destruction of our break.
01:37Who though would have the legs at the finale?
01:40Not Johanik, he was saving his for more mountains points on the final day.
01:47The fireworks went off and the display was to be had.
01:52Time to kick on, be last man standing, be a hero.
01:57The big names dragged themselves to the front.
01:59One last man, of course, Stensby from Team Co-op Repsol.
02:04He was wound in.
02:05Christian Scarroni, who lost this race by only a solitary second.
02:09He had a dig and then others folded into the fray, while Christoph himself just tried to
02:16hang on for a points jersey by the end.
02:19One after another they tried, Mauro Schmidt first for Dzeko Alula and then his teammate
02:24Davide Preto.
02:25He went for it.
02:26He was in good company too, riding along Camillo Bono of Flanders-Beloise.
02:33The pair of them up front like bait for the hounds behind.
02:38Magnus Cort trying to strive on.
02:40He saved himself at one point.
02:43Blackmore also had a dig.
02:45Kevin Van Laarck was up there as well.
02:48Debreto faded.
02:49Bono kicked on.
02:50Could he make it?
02:51Bono, he's going to have the second margin plus the bonus at the end here today.
02:57He's going to bring this home by the look of him.
03:00Absolutely superb.
03:01The crowd can't believe it.
03:03Neither can we.
03:04What a surprise winner, but what an effort that has been as well.
03:08Timing is what this has all been about.
03:10And Camillo Bono comes home here for the biggest win of his career.
03:15He's done it in the Tour of Britain.
03:17He's going to do it here as well.
03:19Chapeau, sir.
03:20What a way to bring it in.
03:21Ten bonus seconds to his name.
03:23May well be the leader of this race as well.
03:26Bono is going to hit the line and then all of a sudden we're going to be counting everyone
03:29else.
03:30Keep driving it home, my friend.
03:31It could be the leader's jersey.
03:32There it is.
03:33Two, three seconds back to court and the rest of them as they come across the line.
03:38But my goodness, what a win for Camillo Bono.
03:48Yesterday I got the bad news that my grandfather died and he was kind of the reason that I
03:57started cycling in the first place.
04:03It was no possibility to go home, so I wanted to give my everything today and I knew I was
04:09in good shape and I knew I had a small chance of winning.
04:14I was not riding alone today.
04:16I lost both my grandfathers in three months, so I hope they watch together to the race
04:21today.
04:26What an amazing day.
04:28What a fabulous winner as well.
04:31He brought it home.
04:33Smiles as well.
04:34Bono taking it ahead of court, Vermaak, Blackmore and Chapeau, sir.
04:39Two second margin plus the bonuses meant that court took the lead of the race by one
04:45solitary second.
04:48Had Bono not celebrated his grandfather's passing, would he have led the race?
04:52Did it really matter?
04:53It was a beautiful day.
04:55Krisov responded in blue, two points clear of court in the points classification.
04:59And, of course, there's a peacock here.
05:02You know his name, Joinick, 40 points can't be caught.
05:06He will be king of the mountains provided he finishes the race.
05:10And Bono is our young rider classification leader.
05:15Six seconds clear of Vermaak.
05:18What a race and what a day.
