00:00Alrighty, righty, righty.
00:02Right, boo, boo, boo, boo.
00:06Yeah, boo, boo, bear.
00:10Ah, boo, boo, bear.
00:14Yogi bear.
00:16Jelly stone.
00:20Cindy bear.
00:24The three bears.
00:26Anyway, so, uh,
00:28welcome back all of you out there in video land.
00:30I died again, so I just
00:32deleted the video.
00:34And, I mean,
00:36it didn't have a good bitrate quality,
00:38or just visual quality, so
00:40I'm trying to see what
00:42is wrong with
00:44the settings that I'm using, so
00:46I'm using, I'm trying
00:48some higher settings now.
00:50Somewhere along the line, one of the settings I will change
00:52will be good, and I want to make sure
00:54that they are good settings.
00:56Because I want my settings to be good.
00:58Um.
01:08I'm not
01:10even sure if this is
01:12the most updated OBS.
01:14But, uh, let's go ahead
01:16and have some fun. It's not like I,
01:18all of my games, you know, a lot of my games don't
01:20have the best settings on them, you know,
01:22that I recorded, but, um.
01:24I mean, I'm on my tower.
01:26I should have no excuse. My tower
01:28should be perfect.
01:30So, well,
01:32let's just get started.
01:34Um.
01:36There are a lot of things I said
01:38in my previous
01:40uh,
01:42recording that I now deleted.
01:46Oh, oh, oh, oh, I did read
01:48something. So I did read
01:50a little bit of a hint book, right?
01:54And, uh,
01:56I hate that. So I know some things
01:58about the first level. I'm not going to read
02:00anymore, because I want to just have fun
02:02uh, playing it.
02:04And I was going to use magic spells.
02:06I did look at the magic spells.
02:08I do have them up, but I decided, you know what,
02:10the ones that I keep using, it says I'm not
02:12high enough skill level, even though
02:14I believe I should be.
02:16So I'm just,
02:18I'm just like giving up. I'll just
02:20wait and figure out what happens later on.
02:22Um.
02:24Oh, wait, wait, wait.
02:26She should be up there.
02:28She should have throwing stuff.
02:30And he should have that.
02:32Uh, I do think that I did
02:34discover
02:36uh, that
02:38when I go to sleep, if I have a torch
02:40out, the torch burns down.
02:42So I'm going to put the torch away every time I go to sleep.
02:44Hopefully it won't
02:46ruin anything.
02:48And
02:50there is
02:52nothing here that I know of because I tried
02:54to find them.
02:56I know that there are supposedly secrets hidden by
02:58clicking chains
03:00or something.
03:02I didn't quite understand that and I thought,
03:04you know what, secrets are getting too complicated.
03:06These guys,
03:08these guys
03:10would not
03:12bother themselves with
03:14looking for secrets. They would bother themselves
03:16with getting out of Dodge
03:18as fast as possible.
03:20So that's all. I mean, I'm not going to speedrun this.
03:22I'm going to play it as if
03:24characters would play this.
03:26You know, real people would play this if dumped into
03:28the dungeon.
03:30Relatively cautious.
03:32Moving forward.
03:34Not hanging around just for random
03:36stuff.
03:48I kind of get the feeling that
03:50some of those, some of these things here
03:52might be linked to some sort of secret at some point
03:54by putting something
03:56like a staff there.
03:58That'd be cool.
04:18Oh.
04:28It's old school.
04:30You gotta drag it over and drop it on top.
04:42Loose rock. That's an introduction
04:44to the
04:46secrets.
04:48But I think it would be cool.
04:50You know, I mean, I don't know.
04:52I get the game design of
04:54hiding a secret
04:56before you introduce people to
04:58how to use secrets, right?
05:00I get that
05:02game design because then you want players
05:04to replay the game as much as possible.
05:12Oh, one thing I did
05:14complain about in the last recording
05:16was automaps.
05:18Like, oh, come on.
05:22It didn't complete the automap.
05:24Anyway, automaps,
05:26you know, like it says on hardcore mode,
05:28you have to map your own dungeon.
05:30Like, old school mode
05:32I think is what it said.
05:34I've been playing games, these games,
05:36since the 80s, and
05:38let me tell you something.
05:40The vast majority of
05:42games after like
05:441984
05:46had automaps
05:48in them.
05:50Very few did not. I mean, even
05:52like Legend of Zelda. Legend of Zelda
05:54actually has a
05:56mapping feature in the
05:58right-hand corner,
06:00right?
06:02SSI, you know,
06:04they handled a lot of the Dungeons & Dragons
06:06games. Yeah, with a lot of the
06:08early Dungeons & Dragons
06:10games, the Gold Box
06:12editions,
06:14did not have automaps,
06:16but they provided already
06:18drawn maps for
06:20dozens of locations, right?
06:22Text Adventures didn't have
06:24them, but this said old school style
06:26as if it was old school style
06:28for first person.
06:30The only first person
06:32game
06:34games
06:36that I played which did not have
06:38automaps were either games that were before
06:40like 1985,
06:42I think,
06:44and
06:46let's see here.
06:48A couple of the Ultima games,
06:50a couple of my
06:52Magic games did not,
06:54a couple of the early ones did not,
06:56and Eye of the
06:58Beholder
07:02did not. Eye of the Beholder
07:04came out
07:08Well, I guess Eye of the Beholder
07:10came out in 91. I could have
07:12sworn that it came out earlier than that
07:14because
07:18I really, oh god, I could have sworn
07:20it came out earlier than 91
07:22because there were games that had
07:24automaps before Eye of the Beholder
07:26came out.
07:30I mean, like Doom
07:32added its automap
07:34When did Doom
07:36add automap?
07:38So, Doom came out
07:40in 93
07:42and it added its automap
07:44like that year
07:46and the reason why it didn't have
07:48an automap
07:50on,
07:52and that's a first person shooter,
07:54the reason why Doom didn't have an automap
07:56to begin with
07:58was because they were just trying to get it out
08:00there, right?
08:02It wasn't a design issue
08:04it was a
08:06time issue
08:08you know
08:10Doom's final
08:12episode was released
08:16after
08:18Doom 2 came out
08:20in fact
08:22you could even
08:24yeah, I mean, John Romero
08:26released an official thing for Doom 2
08:28so Doom 2 and Doom 1
08:30basically, they've been
08:32in production ever since they came out
08:36but you get what I mean, right?
08:38like automaps
08:40I guess it was the late 80s
08:42that automaps weren't that common
08:44but there really weren't
08:46too many
08:48first person games that didn't have
08:50automaps, right?
08:52Anyway, I don't know
08:54so I don't really
08:56think it's as old school as they think
08:58it is, because this is clearly
09:00taken off of Dungeon Hack
09:02Dungeon Hack had automaps
09:04Dungeon Hack did
09:06right?
09:08and
09:10all the other SSI first person
09:12games did
09:28oh
09:40leather boots goes to him
09:42alright
09:44leather pants
09:46goes to him, I don't want his little
09:48howdy doody hangin' out
09:50um
09:58oh
10:04oh
10:16alright
10:18I'm gonna take that off
10:20hopefully it won't
10:22burn away
10:28and I'm only gonna
10:30save at the end
10:32of every level, right?
10:34I'm not so hardcore
10:36I'm gonna try to do it without saving at all
10:38but I am
10:40only going to save at the end
10:42of every level
10:46unless it turns into
10:48unless I admit defeat, right?
10:50and I have to save throughout the level
10:52um
10:58oh, no, no, no, I don't want to do that
11:00I want the map
11:10oh
11:12I wonder if I could kill something with that portcullis
11:14ooh, I'm gonna
11:16try that at some point
11:28oh
11:54oh
11:56come on through
12:00oh, oh, oh, come on
12:02damn
12:04I didn't click it
12:26ooh
12:40ooh, I could try this one
12:42one second
12:56ooh
13:26ooh
13:56oh
14:02oh, it didn't work
14:04I clicked too fast
14:06but I don't think you can do it
14:08I think that maybe
14:10it's not an option
14:12because they move too fast
14:14from one square to another
14:16so I guess you can't kill
14:18with the portcullis
14:26ooh
14:28ooh
14:32ooh
14:56ooh
15:16This is a fun game now that I know how to play it
15:18I'm just really pissed off with the wizard spell thing
15:20you know, apparently I'm not the only one
15:22and um
15:24Devs doubled down on this terrible spell system in the sequel apparently, so I
15:31Don't know. I don't know why they would want to do that
15:44I guess they want to encourage people to explore the game
15:49Some nonsense
15:54Oh
16:20Oh, oh
16:24See here
16:32One cloth
16:37I'll give that to lizard man. He's got scales. Oh
16:43My god, I can do this right click and look around. Oh my god, that is so cool
17:24You
17:48I am looking for any secrets that I can find
17:54Oh
17:56Oh
18:20All the torches getting dim good thing I'm collecting torches
18:26I
18:56I
19:18Apparently I was not collecting torches I am missing torches
19:26I was just passing them up is my other game. I was collecting torches. I need to collect torches
19:56I
20:26I
20:56Know you know, I might as well mute my mic until I have something to say. Oh, oh fungus people
21:04fungus among us
21:27I
21:31Was hoping that fire would work
21:47Where the wrong direction wrong direction
21:56I
22:10All right, there we go
22:21And I forgot to take the
22:24Torch off so that just burned down
22:40It's open that the torch would like the fungus man on fire
22:44I
22:53Want the fungus man died I fungus man. Oh
23:02Damn it
23:08God damn
23:11What the hell is going on here, why can't the fungus man die
23:21There is no way to kill that fungus man
23:23How many hit points does that fungus man have I hit that fungus man as much as I possibly could?
23:30Well, that's gonna be the end of this recording
