First, gather your materials. You’ll need some envelopes, colorful paper, scissors, and glue. The envelopes will serve as the base for your pop-up elements, so choose ones that fit your theme.
Start by taking your envelope and cutting it open along the seams. This will allow you to create a flat base for your pop-ups. Next, fold the envelope in half to create a crease. This crease will help you position your pop-up elements perfectly.
Now, cut out shapes from your colorful paper. These can be anything from trees to animals or even characters from your favorite stories. Once you have your shapes ready, it's time to attach them to the envelope.
Take one of your cut-out shapes and fold a small tab on the bottom. Apply glue to this tab, and then stick it to the center of the envelope. Close the envelope and press firmly to secure it in place.
When you open the envelope, voilà! You have your first pop-up element. Repeat this process with different shapes and layers to create more depth in your book.
