Kangana Recalls Vinesh Phogat Raising Slogans Of 'Modi Teri Kabr Khudegi' Amid Historic Olympic Win

On August 6, Vinesh Phogat scripted history as she became the first Indian woman wrestler to reach an Olympic final at the Paris 2024 Olympics. Phogat triumphed over Cuba's Yusneylis Guzman Lopez in a thrilling semi-final match. Vinesh will now fight for the gold medal against USA's Sarah Hildebrandt in the final on August 7. For the unversed, Phogat was a leading figure in the protests against former Wrestling Federation of India chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. Actress and politician Kangana Ranaut commented on Phogat's achievement, attributing her success to the strength of India's democracy. Ranaut posted a photo of Vinesh on her Instagram stories and credited her victory to the 'great leader' Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The BJP MP wrote in the caption, “Fingers crossed for India's first Gold Medal...Vinesh Phogat at one point took parts in protests where she raised the slogans of "Modi teri kabr khudegi". Yet she was given the opportunity to represent the nation and best of the training, coaches, and facilities. Beauty of democracy and a great leader.”
