00:00I've been knocked out three times, got an arm broken.
00:03Oh, God.
00:04Broke ribs twice, two ribs one time,
00:06three ribs another time.
00:07Broke a tailbone.
00:08Walmart.
00:09Broke two toes and a finger.
00:12This finger.
00:13Ow!
00:14Whoa.
00:15What about you?
00:15Torn meniscus, separated shoulder,
00:18ego bruise quite a few times.
00:20Banged up.
00:21So we've both filmed a lot of intense action
00:23scenes in our careers, including in our new film, The You.
00:26Here is our action movie, Matt.
00:30Well, I've learned jujitsu, some Muay Thai, kickboxing,
00:34taekwondo.
00:35I learned how to shoot.
00:36I learned capoeira for Catwoman.
00:38I learned crochet and ballet for the other guys.
00:42And tango dancing was, oh, the worst.
00:44I played a free diver.
00:46I had to hold my breath for almost two and a half minutes.
00:48And that felt like eternity.
00:50It felt like death was ending.
00:51Did you train for that?
00:52I did.
00:53I think the last shot of Perfect Storm,
00:55we were in the tank, and we had the waves.
00:57There was guys underneath the water holding my feet
00:59to hold me in position, and they
01:00didn't know where I was in relation to the waves.
01:02So I'm sucking in water, and it's
01:04going up all over my head.
01:05And I'm just trying to stay there in line
01:07to make sure I got the tear in the eye.
01:08That was not fun.
01:09I didn't get a tear in my eye.
01:10I think I just took some water and splashed it on my face,
01:13and it's all running down.
01:14Oh, god.
01:15My Storm X-Men days, long time.
01:17Storm was always in the sky on a wire.
01:20A long time.
01:21Yeah.
01:22So one time, actually, it felt like the guy
01:24had gone to lunch.
01:26That's how long I was up there.
01:27And I was like, hello, hello, anybody?
01:30Yeah, if I see a harness, I'm in a miserable mood.
01:33But I've seen people like, oh, my god, this is so cool.
01:35We got the flag.
01:36I'm like, bro.
01:37Oh, I did a crazy rooftop jump on the big hit.
01:40I remember Kirk Wong, the director.
01:42And then we just go on the roof and just jump.
01:43And I'm like, what?
01:45It's like, whoa.
01:46But I like jumping off of things into water.
01:49Free falling is better.
01:50Jump, you know, 50, 60 feet into water.
01:52As long as you can break the water and wear some shoes,
01:54you're good to go.
01:55I have never jumped off anything.
01:57But I almost got knocked off something.
02:00On Catwoman, you know, the swinging lights,
02:02I got the cue mixed up with the lighting guy.
02:05It's still a mystery who got it wrong.
02:06But I say he did.
02:08And he swung his light when I went to walk.
02:10And his light swung and hit me and knocked me down.
02:14And had I fallen, I would have fallen like 60 feet.
02:17And I wasn't on a wire.
02:17There were no mats underneath it.
02:19It was the dumbest movie-making moment of all time.
02:21My answer ran.
02:22Yours was like seven days a week.
02:23No.
02:24You know what it used to be?
02:25And then that I wasn't getting anywhere.
02:27I was, like, getting hurt.
02:28So now it's five days a week, two days off, hour max a day.
02:32I refuse to do more than, like, 30 minutes.
02:34But I do five days a week.
02:35She doesn't have to.
02:36Oh, I do.
02:37Don't make everybody feel bad.
02:38I do.
02:39Oh, I can't play any music because I'll
02:41wake up the whole house.
02:42Not the go-to is Adele, for sure.
02:45Adele?
02:46I've just started listening to this one album,
02:4821, when I was traveling.
02:49Somebody downloaded it on my phone.
02:51It was the only album I had on my phone.
02:52And I don't like to fly.
02:53So any time I would fly or I was away from home,
02:56I would play it to go to bed.
02:58And it became my, like, my thing.
02:59I want to play for an Adele guy.
03:01I mean, that is what it is.
03:03So hey, get into the action with us.
03:05Watch The Union.
03:06Only on Netflix.
