00:00The Chargers. Let's start there. First of all, what is your opinion? What do you make
00:09of this Harbaugh story, which yesterday was, you know, he's not apologizing. He didn't
00:15do anything wrong at Michigan. And today the NCAA comes out with this idea that if he ever
00:21decides to come back to college football, he suspended for a year. Could you imagine
00:25a school hiring Jim Harbaugh and going, yeah, he's suspended for the year, but we hired
00:30him. We'll have him coach next year. What do you make of this whole Harbaugh, Michigan
00:35mess? I mean, I dealt with a similar situation when I was covered the Seahawks and Pete came
00:42from USC to coach the Seahawks. And obviously there were sanctioned balls with the whole
00:47Reggie Bush thing. So, you know, I think it is what it is. If you're the Chargers, you're
00:52probably not concerned about it at all because you, you hired him to coach your team and
00:56what's in his past. It is in his past. I mean, if you were going to bring him back to coach
01:02college and you believed in him, I guess you would just have an interim coach for a year
01:06and then basically have him take over the following season. So, I mean, the NCAA has
01:12so many other issues that they need to resolve on their own. That to me, it's not a big issue
01:19because they're still figuring out the whole NIL thing. You know, the rule book is immense.
01:26Who can really know if you're violating a rule or not? Everybody's pushing the envelope
01:31as a head coach or assistant coaches. So to me, it's past history. Has he started cheating
01:41in the NFL yet?
01:42If you ain't cheating, you ain't trying.
01:52When he said, what was his quote on Monday? I got to pull it up.
01:55I don't ever cheat. No cheating, no lying, no stealing. I preach it and I teach it for
02:01every football team. I grew up that way. And by the way, when you screw up, you apologize,
02:06you move on. But guess what? I'm not apologizing. That's what Harbaugh said at his press conference.
02:11I'm paraphrasing, but it's pretty damn close.
02:13Never cheat, never lie, never cheat, never steal.
02:16Well, as you alluded to on your post on social media, Kaplan, there is a little bit of politics
02:23in coaching in the NFL. And you can't always say what you believe in front of the media.
02:31You kind of have to put on a show a little bit. And certainly Harbaugh understands that with
02:36as long as he's been in coaching. So again, it is what it is. I mean, that's why he's making
02:42what he's making for the Chargers is you're the public face for that franchise whenever you speak.
02:49And I think he takes that role to heart.
02:53Don't let them fool you, Eric. What they're trying to do
02:55is sprinkle the Spanos curse on him.
02:59It's all over him, dude.
03:00No, no, no.
03:01He dove in head first for each other now.
03:04I mean, his starting quarterback is hurt. So that's just how many practices did he get?
03:09Like two, two practices before he got.
03:13And I was, I was out there. It didn't look great with him. Not on the field.
03:17I believe you. He that good. But what I'm saying is they trying to sprinkle
03:22the curse on Harbaugh, but I'm telling people he vaccinated. Okay.
03:28Okay. He got all his shots.
03:30Oh, let me tell you this. Just like you got the shot that Spanos thing that that
03:35that Spanos curse will, it will jump right over that. It'll penetrate it. No doubt about it.
