00:29This is John with Gamer64, the legend, the one and only, and yours truly.
00:35And I welcome you to episode 49 of the Gamer's Munchies Review.
00:41And a new Funyun flavor has just dropped recently.
00:47That new flavor happens to be the Maruchan Hot and Spicy Chicken Ramen flavor.
00:55So I was already intrigued by it being just a ramen flavor, but I guess this one's going
00:59to be a hot and spicy chicken affair.
01:03So yeah, I mean, I love chicken ramen, and it's always nice to have a little kick of
01:10hot and spiciness in my food.
01:12So yeah.
01:13Right off the bat, I really love the packaging, how it really looks like a cup of noodles
01:21with the little circular picture of the Funyuns that really does look like ramen.
01:29And I really like that, like whoever the graphic artist was for this bag of chips,
01:34they deserve a raise because these are going to sell for sure.
01:39Now hopefully the flavor is just as good as the packaging here.
01:42So yeah, let's go ahead and bite into this.
01:48All right, here we got Funyuns.
01:58Oh, that flavor totally smells like it.
02:07I mean, it's mostly like the Funyun onion-like smell, but it also has a little bit of ramen
02:13smell in there too.
02:16All right, so here you are.
02:19I'll give you a little look-see of the chip itself, covered in spices.
02:26So my theory is, maybe they just took the chicken seasoning from the ramen and coated
02:32it on the chips, along with the spice.
02:38Okay, so you're getting like little hints of the actual noodle, or the ramen noodle.
02:56And you're getting the hints of the chicken too.
03:02Little bit of spice.
03:03Okay, so the spice isn't too bad, I'd say it's fairly adequate, nothing too overbearing.
03:12Just right amount of spice there.
03:15And the ramen noodle flavor actually tastes pretty good, it's just in little bursts basically.
03:22Yeah, the chicken flavor, yeah, has a good amount too, it's like not overbearing with
03:30the chicken either.
03:31But yeah, I mean, it coincides with the ramen noodle taste too, so yeah, not too spicy,
03:40pretty accurate.
03:43The ratio of each flavor is fairly, fairly accurate.
03:50Okay, that's not bad.
03:56Little bit of a kick in the spice, just the right amount of chicken and ramen flavor.
04:02Okay, yeah, I can give this one a thumbs up, this is fantastic.
04:08It'd be interesting if they come out with another variation that has like the shrimp
04:13flavor, like, I'd definitely be open to try that too.
04:18And then, you know, some Asian snacks actually do have shrimp flavored snacks, or chips.
04:26So yeah, I think that would work well with these, with the flingons.
04:31Alright, fantastic, definitely a great flavor of flingons, although I think I like the spicy
04:38queso better, because, you know, I love cheese anyway, so yeah, can't go wrong with those.
