00:00Good morning, 47. Your target is Mark Faber, also known as the Undying. A disgraced former
00:16MI5 operative currently working as a freelance assassin, Faber has been confirmed killed
00:21by ICA agents more than a dozen times. On every occasion, he has managed to come back
00:27from the dead. We have confirmation that Faber has a meeting in the Miami Bayside Center
00:34to review details on a new target. An informant at the site has provided us with reliable
00:39intel on Faber's expected movement around the center. This information has revealed
00:43several viable approaches. As you know, our inside man is meeting with the target. Acquire
00:50the right disguise, and he'll get you inside the heart of the building. Up close and personal
00:55is risky, but favors the clean kill. Alternatively, smuggle in a sniper rifle via briefcase.
01:02The race tower is a perfect vantage point, but access is restricted. Race security is
01:08high. Get through the locked door, and time your shot perfectly. Or, infiltrate through
01:16the staff entrance at the back of the building. Access the second floor using the elevator
01:20shaft. Move unseen inside the weapons demo room, and infiltrate as you see fit. Act once
01:27an opportunity presents itself, or rig the room to your advantage, and leave unseen.
01:32Be mindful, however. The repercussions of being exposed here would be severe. I'm confident
01:38even more opportunities will reveal themselves once you arrive on Site... 47. To be entirely
01:45honest, this one's a bit of an embarrassment. Please, make sure he doesn't come back again.
01:52Good luck.
03:45Good afternoon, 47. Your target is already inside the Miami Bayside Center. Faber has
04:11a full day of meetings planned, and we do not want to risk losing him. Take your time
04:16with this one. Dave Ready, our informant, is waiting for you in the reception area.
04:24If you like, he can lead you to a meeting where Faber will be in attendance. What you
04:28do from then on is up to you. Be mindful, though. He will not wait around for long.
04:35Hi there. Welcome to the Kronstadt Bayside Center.
04:48You must be Dave Ready.
04:50Ah, yes. You're the one I've been expecting. The special guest.
04:55I am.
04:56Okay, so like I told your superiors, I can get you inside the meeting, but that's it.
05:01What you do from there is up to you. Got it?
05:04Just how I like it.
05:05All right. But, uh, you can't go in dressed like that. You'll need to look like an engineer,
05:11or one of the lab guys, or a guard, I guess.
05:14I'll work something out.
05:15Good. I'll wait for you here. Don't take too long. They're expecting us upstairs in the
05:21conference room.
05:24I'm just an android. I don't know anything about anything. And I'll stop bothering you.
05:49I understood from the briefing that you're supposed to grab it if something happens to it.
05:53No poking around the engine or anything like that.
05:56The Nox is a genuine thing.
05:58Oh, yes. Very interesting. Imagine the implications.
06:28Hello, civilian. My sensors indicate you are performing at peak capacity today.
06:58Like the five previous years, the race is dominated by Sierra Nox...
07:28How's this?
07:43Where'd you find that?
07:45Never mind. I don't want to know. Let's go.
07:48Fabe is already expecting us up there.
07:50Can't wait to meet him.
07:58Hey, this guy's with me.
08:04Amazing job on Sierra's car.
08:07So, this deal is closed when we enter the room, all right? I get you in, that's all.
08:13And then your people take care of my problem.
08:15Don't worry. We'll fulfill our end of the bargain.
08:18Solid. You know, I don't know what I was thinking, honestly.
08:23Getting involved with people like the Morenos, it was stupid.
08:27I thought I could make some quick cash, you know,
08:29buy that yacht, sail a couple of babes to the Caribbean for the summer. Stupid!
08:35The Moreno cartel is the biggest in the Southern Hemisphere.
08:38You don't try to cheat those kind of people.
08:40I wish I'd met you a little earlier, buddy.
08:43Couldn't have used that advice six months ago, you know?
08:46Anyway, we're almost there, so let's put on our game faces.
08:51Hey, I seriously love your work on those Kronstadt cars. Very cool, sir.
08:58You don't look at all like I expected. I'm Mark Faber.
09:02Mr. Faber! What an absolute pleasure to meet you.
09:06I'm Dave Reddy, Special Acquisitions Gatekeeper, working with you on this job.
09:10I'd show you my breakbook, but I'm sure you've already heard about me.
09:14Can't say that I have.
09:16Oh, uh, I see.
09:20Before we begin, I just wanted to tell you that I've read up on your file.
09:25Oh, man, very impressive.
09:28It's all about enjoying what you do.
09:30Couldn't agree more, my friend.
09:32I've prepped an extensive briefing to help us sync up on the subject that needs to be, uh,
09:37consulted with. I think it'll provide you with a full 360.
09:41Good. Let's proceed.
09:43Hey, not a problem, Mark. Not a problem at all.
09:50All right, well, let's grab a seat and get this show on the road.
09:53Okay, so the consultation is with a man called Pavel Sukhov,
09:57a relative of your boss's former partner.
09:59Ten-four!
10:00For the last six months, Sukhov has been dishing out malicious rumors
10:04about my good friend Bob Knox.
10:07I did some digging, and it turns out he's publishing a book
10:10about the secret beginning of Kronstadt Industries.
10:13Completely ridiculous effort.
10:15But the rumors are putting a hard stop on the growth of our stock.
10:19He's been putting out some very quotable things in the media lately.
10:23So, Knox is looking to protect the bottom line.
10:26This Sukhov fella, he's enjoying the limelight.
10:29There was a press conference a week ago, yeah?
10:32Huh. You've really done your homework.
10:34You're right. He's showering in media attention.
10:39Is that going to be a problem?
10:41On the contrary. I prefer public consultations.
10:45Nowhere better to hide than in the middle of a spectacle.
10:49Well, then this is your bluebird, my friend.
10:53You know what? Let's try a small exercise.
11:00You. Suppose you were sent to kill me.
11:03We're in this meeting together.
11:05You're sitting there in the chair, waiting for your moment.
11:08How would you kill me? What's the plan?
11:17Cause a small distraction.
11:19Lure you out onto the balcony and throw you over the railing to your death below.
11:23You look strong enough.
11:25But there are bushes down there.
11:27They break the fall.
11:28I'd walk away without a single broken bone.
11:31What else?
11:33You've been drinking quite a lot of coffee.
11:35Yes.
11:35Fast-acting poison.
11:37Emetic.
11:38About five seconds from ingestion to reaction.
11:42Follow you to the bathroom.
11:44Drown you.
11:45Terrible accident.
11:46Gruesome.
11:47But I survived worse than that.
11:49Final bid?
11:52Knife on the table over there.
11:54Quick throw.
11:55Knife through the head.
11:56You'd be dead before you hit the floor.
11:59That's more like it.
12:01But very risky.
12:03You'd have a hard time escaping the room.
12:05But I would love to see you try that.
12:09I think I need to stretch my legs for a few.
12:11Keep at it.
12:16Hi, it's me.
12:18I've got the new act lined up.
12:20You've reviewed the plans?
12:24It's very public because the target is public.
12:27I want a big audience for this one.
12:29We'll hire extras as props, telling them it's for a TV show.
12:33Add cameras for effect.
12:36Getting their assassin in place is all down to them.
12:39They're not going to get away with it.
12:41They're not going to get away with it.
12:42They're not going to get away with it.
12:44They're not going to get away with it.
12:45It's all down to social engineering, and that's my headache, not yours.
12:49Just make sure the replacement cadaver is where I indicate it, all right?
12:54Once Zuko's gone up in smoke, I'll reveal myself to the would-be assassin,
12:58get him in the elevator, and he'll take his shot once upstairs.
13:02That's your cue.
13:03Good.
13:03I've got a ton of things to prepare at my end.
13:05Sir, you need clearance.
13:06I'll talk to you later.
13:07You must be Mark Faber.
13:09I wish I could say I knew all about you, but Dave's been uncharacteristically secretive.
13:15You work in weapons development, too?
13:16More on the practical application side of things, if you understand.
13:20Oh, uh, of course.
13:24Very nice.
13:25I'm glad to meet you, sir.
13:26I'm Mark Faber.
13:27I'm the head of the Department of Defense, and I'm here to talk to you about a project.
13:32Oh, uh, of course.
13:36Very nice.
13:38Well, um, I looked at the diagrams you sent.
13:41I haven't had that much time to work on the prototypes, but I do have something early to show you.
13:46Lovely.
13:47Let's have a look.
13:52So, the designs were... interesting.
13:55Oh, did you do them yourself, I wonder?
13:59What?
14:01Sir.
14:11Very interesting, Mr. Faber.
14:13Right, let's have a look at this.
14:16We need it to be an exact replica of Zhukov's favorite gun, and it has to be.
14:31We had some difficulty accommodating the exact number of time requirements.
14:36No, the head's actually woven from the finest boron-nitrate nanotube,
14:42with a tensile strength surpassing 33,000 megapascals.
14:46I'm sure that will impress your engineering friends, but that hardly makes it explosive.
14:51What the...
14:52I specifically proposed an explosive that capable of vaporizing the upper part of a man's torso.
14:58But, coming by a volatile compound that would be able to achieve that is... extremely hard.
15:06A distilled sample of Mr. Knox's nitro booster didn't even come close.
15:11Frankly, it seems a little excessive, Mr. Faber.
15:17Of course, that's the whole point.
15:19There isn't much spectacle in waiting for the man to accidentally stab himself in the eye
15:23with your ridiculous boron nitrate.
15:28You're a patriot, sir, I can tell.
15:31Disappointing.
15:33Well, done is done.
15:34I suppose I'll have to try to figure out how to...
15:53So, this is Robert Knox's new brainchild.
15:58Chilling.
15:59Can't really see it replacing humans for a long time.
16:02I will say, I admire his stewardship.
16:06But you, my friend, lack what all machines lack.
16:11Spontaneity.
16:13The ability to think freely, on your feet.
16:17And...
16:18The ability to...
16:20To...
16:22To...
16:23To...
16:25To...
16:26To...
16:28Perhaps more important than anything...
16:31The ability to feel fear, whether we like it or not.
16:35The fear of death is what drives us, makes us human.
16:40Once we lose that, well, we're nothing more than empty shells drifting through life,
16:45waiting to finally be discarded.
16:48Palace is top of the line, Mr. Faber.
16:51The most advanced robotic system in the world.
16:54The AI is world-class, too.
16:57Yeah, Mr. Knox has designed this to make us all jobless in 20 years.
17:01Yeah, I saw his talk on artificial intelligence last year.
17:04I'm more of a flesh-and-blood kind of guy than he is, I think.
17:07But we could all become indestructible.
17:10I certainly hope not.
17:12We'd all be out of a job then.
17:14Hmm, the bomb doesn't actually have to be that powerful.
17:19But it is extremely important the explosive element is fleshy enough.
17:24It's not misdirection if people aren't looking at it.
17:28This isn't exactly a discreet container.
17:32I suppose it's a good idea to keep the bomb in a safe place.
17:35I don't think it's a good idea to keep the bomb in a safe place.
17:38I don't think it's a good idea to keep the bomb in a safe place.
17:42I suppose if we add balloons to the event,
17:45spray-paint this to look like a helium canister, I think we can make this work.
17:50The most ingenious thing about the active ingredient in Mr. Knox's octane booster
17:55is the versatility.
17:56We can create multiple compounds from this,
17:59effectively shaping its use based on what we add to it.
18:03Oh, so?
18:04Well, for instance, if you were to require a flashier explosion,
18:09the Knox burns quite quickly and doesn't produce long-lasting flames.
18:13But if you were to add an adhesive or even a magnesium solution to the compound,
18:18things would change dramatically.
18:21After all, it was originally designed to produce colored flames and smoke for drag racing events.
18:28That is very useful indeed.
18:31I have to say, Mr. Yu, I like what I'm seeing here.
18:35Thank you, Mr. Faber.
18:39Okay, I think I've seen enough for now.
18:46Need to think for a while.
18:48I'll be back later.
18:49Exploding pens?
18:51Ridiculous.
18:52The practical value is zero compared to the development costs.
18:56How would something like that ever become a commercial success?
19:10I wonder if this F.E.B.A. character works for them.
19:19It's got to be some sort of foreign national agency.
19:22The Langley boys aren't this creative.
19:39So
20:01thank you, pal.
20:03Give me a rundown of your cognitive process.
20:28Fascinating, Mr. Reddy.
20:30I should like to go over all the files myself at some point.
20:33Make sure I don't miss any of these gold nuggets.
20:59It's me.
21:07Any news on a special guest yet, Davin?
21:11Port and swap.
21:13I'm not much for reruns, Alice.
21:16The bow is amusing, I suppose, but the poisoning isn't something I'd like to try again.
21:21Besides, they wouldn't send the same people twice.
21:26Well, I sent the I.C.A. an invite.
21:29Seeing as most of their top-tier agents have failed, they're bound to send him.
21:35If he even exists, you know, I'm beginning to wonder.
21:41Sure, we've all heard the stories.
21:44That's all they've ever been.
21:47I hope he's real.
21:55Then we've had a good run.
21:58If I go by anyone's hand, I want to belong to the best in the business.
22:03Simple as that.
22:04Good.
22:06Good, I'll see you later, Alice.
22:16Ah, don't!
22:29Target eliminated.
22:36Hopefully, this will be the last time we have to deal with Mr. Faber.
22:41The money is being transferred now, 47.
22:43Time to find an exit.
22:58Hello, H.R.?
23:06Yeah.
23:28Yes.
23:58Doctor's orders.
24:14That thing in Hokkaido really did a number on me.
24:17The food poisoning?
24:18Yeah, terrible, terrible.
24:22You'd think that a top-notch medical facility like that would be able to serve Fugu clean,
24:26but no.
24:28If it hadn't been for that medical robot, Carl, or whatever it was called, I wouldn't be here today.
24:33So in a way, Robert Knox saved your life.
24:39No way you chose this gig.
24:45Find out what that was.
24:46I hear you.
24:56I got nothing here.
25:26So that's why he bought Saturn, a range of smart clothes for the old school wealthy.
25:55Bulletproof, full-range communication with cloud-based servers, and we are unseen.
26:25Command, we've got a possible 517.
26:34Begin to investigate.
26:38If anyone's there, identify yourself.
27:25Good to see plenty of security here.
28:26Let's look at your electronics, shall we, fellas?
28:37All right.
29:25So
29:55so
30:25so
30:56so
