00:00Welcome back there's been yet more excitement on the track at the Paris Olympics where the women's

00:05400 meter hurdles has just taken place. Eagerly anticipated this one. Let's head back to Paris

00:10and speak to our reporter Miriam Walker-Khan and there was so much hype about this race but in the

00:16end there was only one woman that looked like she was ever going to win that and she absolutely tore

00:21the rest of the field apart Miriam. Yeah and that is Sydney McLaughlin-Lavrone who won that in a new

00:29world record of 50.37 seconds and that is ridiculous when you think about it to run

00:37three rounds of the 400 meter hurdles which is such a gruelling event to do three rounds and

00:42break a world record in that final to defend her title. The only, not many people do that,

00:49one of the only other people who's done that is Sydney McLaughlin who did it in Tokyo so she knows

00:53how to do it but that is ridiculous. Femme Cabal however was bronze, she got third in that race and

01:00it was USA's Hannah Cockrell who was second and Femme Cabal looks really really disappointed.

01:06We've been talking for the past couple of weeks just haven't we about how big this battle could

01:11be between Femme Cabal and Sydney McLaughlin-Lavrone and it wasn't a battle today between them two,

01:16it was the two Americans who fought it out but really Sydney in a complete league of her own,

01:20she was run the eighth, sorry she now owns the eighth of the 13 fastest times in history,

01:27she is a complete legend, she is the greatest that we've ever seen in this event,

01:32she's defended her Olympic title, she's got multiple world titles, she's just a legend

01:36of the event and I think tonight she's cemented that place in history and told Femme Cabal not this time.
