00:00Kadiwa Stores in the Central Office of the National Irrigation Administration in Quezon City sells rice at a cheaper price of 29 pesos per kilo.
00:11This is part of the 100 million kilograms of rice in the country that was planted under the Contract Farming Program.
00:18In the program, NIA is in charge of the production of crops.
00:23In the third year, NIA will buy five metric tons of rice from farmers at a price of 20 pesos per kilo.
00:31The surplus will be distributed to farmers in the market or to other dealers at their desired price.
