00:00Obviously there's a lot of drama about the water quality, but I think the race was very unique for our sport.
00:08We haven't had any race like this in the last 18 months, and me, my coach and my training group were really prepared for this,
00:15and obviously that showed today. The current was, for us that was always the bigger problem, the water quality.
00:22So essentially we took an oral vaccine leading into this, and then we've got antibiotics now,
00:28we've got eye wash, ear drops, body wash, nasals, sprays, everything to clear it out.
00:34So very, very well prepared for that.
00:36It's not normal, but it's just nice to know that they had our safety 100% in the forefront of their minds.
00:44I feel absolutely fine. I've got a few battle wounds from the race on my arm, but that's not to do with the water quality.
00:51I had this song stuck in my head the entire way, and particularly against the current, because you're just trying to stay calm.
00:57It was, do you know the song Poison? Yeah, that was running through my head.
01:01And she's like, that's so ironic because of the water quality.
