00:06for accepting a bribe from the company that supplied the vote counting machine in the Philippines in the 2016 election.
00:14The accusation is that Bautista was paid a bribe of $1 million in 2015-2018
00:24by three officials of the Voting Machine Company to get the contract.
00:29The three officials were also included in the indictment.
00:32Their company did not name them, but one of the accused executives
00:37is the co-founder of Smartmatic, the supplier of the vote counting machine during the 2016 elections.
00:45In his post on X, Bautista said that he felt that the case was politically involved
