00:00So hello everyone, welcome back to the channel Web4Click
00:03And after a long wait, I am going to start the animation series from today
00:09First of all, let me tell you that our character is not necessary that we make it in a lot of detail
00:15We can make any character easily and we can make it simple
00:21So in between, I will show you some characters which are very easy to make
00:26But they will look so good that they can attract any kind of audience
00:32But today's class is our animation class
00:36And I am going to start rigging in animation
00:39In my last episode no. 29, I gave you an introduction to armature
00:44And also told you how important armature is for animation
00:49So if you haven't seen that video, then go to my channel Web4Click
00:53And go to the playlist and watch episode no. 29
00:56So let's start today's video
00:59So first of all, I will delete these
01:01Today we will start rigging in a very basic way
01:04To understand rigging, first of all, I will take a cylinder
01:08So I will press the Shift A button
01:10I will go to MASH and take a cylinder from here
01:12I will reduce this cylinder by pressing S
01:15And I will increase it by pressing S in Z direction
01:20I will move it up a little
01:22So we will add armature at a basic level
01:25And we will animate it at a very basic level with the help of armature
01:30As I told you, we can go to our armature by pressing Shift A
01:34And the first option you will get everywhere is Single Bone
01:38As soon as I click on Single Bone, my armature will be added here
01:42But you won't see that armature here
01:45If I move it here, I can see it here
01:48But I want to keep it inside the object
01:51That's why I want to keep it inside the object
01:55So I will go here and I will get an option
01:57In Object Data Properties
01:59As soon as I click on Object Data Properties
02:02So here I will get an option named View Port Display
02:06As soon as I click on View Port Display
02:09As soon as I do Infront in the option below
02:12Infront means now my bone will be visible in the front
02:17You can see how my bone is visible here
02:20All three of my tools here
02:22G means to move
02:24R means to rotate
02:26And S means to scale
02:28All three will work on this bone here
02:30And by pressing S, I will enlarge it a little here
02:33So that you can see it well here
02:36As I told you that if I work on an object
02:40So for that I have given a lot of modes here
02:43In the same way, the bone I have added here
02:46For this, there is a separate mode here
02:48If I select the bone here
02:50So you will see that I have three modes here
02:54Object Mode, Edit Mode and Pose Mode
02:56So whatever object we select here
02:59According to that, these options will change here
03:03We have made a lot of videos for objects so far
03:06But today we will understand about bone in detail
03:09First of all, let's go to Edit Mode
03:11As soon as I select Edit Mode
03:14So my bone will be divided into three different parts
03:18The first part is of my top
03:20This is my child part
03:22I will connect anything here
03:24If any other bone is connected here
03:26So it will be as a child
03:28And it can't move anywhere else
03:31It just moved around here on both sides
03:34So let me do it
03:36If I want to remove a bone on the top side
03:38So I will press E and press Z
03:41So it will remove the other bone on the top side
03:45So one thing I told you
03:47It is divided into three parts
03:49But if I remove another bone from here
03:52If I press E and press Z
03:54And remove it down here
03:56So here both the bones
03:58Its and its behavior will be different here
04:01It will work here as a child
04:04And it will work here as a parent
04:06Let me show you how it will work
04:09When we do any editing
04:11So we will go to Edit Mode
04:13But if we want to make any pose here
04:15Or if we want to move any of our bones here
04:18So we have another option for that
04:20Pose Mode
04:22So we will always change its position here in Pose Mode
04:25As I told you that this is our child
04:27So if I rotate it by pressing R
04:29So you can see it will rotate like this
04:32I will press CTRL Z
04:35And if I want to move it by pressing G
04:37So I can't move it anywhere else
04:40The reason for this is that it is attached here as a child
04:43So whatever is attached here in the upper part
04:46It will be attached here as a child
04:48But the other bone here
04:50It is attached to my parent
04:52So if I want to move it by pressing G
04:55So I can move it anywhere according to me
04:58So you have to keep all these things in mind
05:00When we do rigging
05:02So to animate
05:04We need to make different poses
05:06In that condition, until we don't know
05:08Which bone will work in which way
05:10We can't make its pose
05:12So let's go back to our Edit Mode
05:15And here I can select everyone by pressing A
05:18And I can move it like this in the upper side
05:23First of all, let's see some shortcuts in Edit Mode
05:26If I want to change the direction of this bone
05:29From top to bottom
05:30So I will press ALT F here
05:32And you can see that my bone will change here
05:35Now it has changed from top to bottom
05:37If I press ALT F again
05:39So it will move from bottom to top
05:42If I click here
05:44Press E and take it in the upper side in Z direction
05:48If I want to divide this bone here
05:51So I will right click here
05:53And here I will get an option called Subdivide
05:55If I click on Subdivide
05:57So you will see that my bone has been divided into two parts
06:00Similarly, if you want to divide it more
06:03So simply right click here
06:05And as soon as you click on Subdivide
06:07It will be divided into two parts
06:10Now you can see here that my bone is connected to it
06:13And if I try to remove it from here
06:16So it is connected to this bone
06:18So it is not able to move from here
06:20But I want to remove this extra bone here
06:25So for that, I have to do it first
06:28For that, I will press ALT P
06:30And as soon as both these options work in the same way
06:34So as soon as I do Clear Parents here
06:36My bone is now separated from it
06:39And I can move it anywhere
06:41And if I want to delete it
06:43So I will press the Delete button here
06:45If I select the bone here
06:47So it will be deleted here
06:49So in this way, you can remove any bone from here
06:53Now one more thing I would like to tell you
06:55If we are in object mode here
06:58And if I want to take armature here
07:00So for that, I will press Shift A
07:02And in the Armature option
07:04I can go here and add a new bone here
07:06But if I am in edit mode
07:08And I want a new bone
07:10So I will press Shift A here
07:12And it will automatically add a new bone here
07:15You can see that a new bone has been added here
07:18So I simply press CTRL Z once
07:21And I will show you again
07:23If I press Shift A
07:24So a new bone has been added here
07:27So if I move it here
07:29So you can see how it is moving here
07:32But it is connected here
07:34So it is not going to this side
07:36So if I want to remove it from here
07:38So I will press Alt P and clear parent it
07:40Now it will be removed from here
07:42So in this way, we can add a new bone here
07:45So first of all, I delete it from here
07:47Now you saw that if I press Shift A
07:50So a new bone will be added here
07:53And because it has got a new center here
07:56That's why it is connected to it
07:58So whenever this center will be found somewhere
08:01So it will automatically connect to it
08:03If you want to remove it
08:05So in the same way, you press Alt P
08:07If we do it on disconnected bone or clear parent
08:10So we can remove it from here
08:12So you have to keep this thing in mind
08:14I delete it from here
08:16Now you have seen that if I add a new bone
08:18So it will come here
08:19Then after that I will take it here
08:21So I am wasting a lot of time in this
08:23If I want my bone here
08:25So I simply press E from here
08:27And in the direction I want
08:29I will press X and take it to this side
08:31And this bone
08:33If I want to separate it and use it somewhere else
08:36So I will simply press Alt P
08:38And I will clear parent it
08:40I can use it anywhere
08:42So I delete it from here
08:44Now our next option comes
08:46Its name comes
08:48If I am making any bone
08:50So every bone has a particular name
08:52Even if you have not given that name
08:54The system automatically gives it here
08:56If I want to see all those names
08:58So I will simply click here
09:00And I will get all these names here
09:02When we do rigging on a large level
09:04Of any character
09:06So this name is very important
09:08And you should also know how to change it
09:10So how do we change it
09:12Let's see
09:14If I want to change this bone here
09:16So you don't have to do anything
09:18Simply select it here
09:20You can see the bone option here
09:22This is the property of our bone
09:24As soon as I click on it
09:26My name is written here
09:28I can simply change it from here
09:30I name it
09:32Top bone
09:34And as soon as I click somewhere else
09:36You will see that its name has changed
09:38So here you are seeing that
09:40I have to go to this option again and again
09:42But I want it to be
09:44If you want to change the name in a simpler way
09:46So I will simply select it
09:48And here
09:50I can change its name
09:52Anywhere
09:54So I will simply name it
09:56Bone2
09:58And I will name it
10:00F2
10:02Bone3
10:04And this is my biggest bone
10:06And it is doing the job of a parent
10:08So I will name it
10:10F2
10:12And this is my parent's child
10:14So I will name it
10:16I have renamed all of them
10:18I will click on E
10:20And Z
10:22And extract it
10:24And now our next job is
10:26To link it with an object
10:28So for now
10:30I will remove the name from here
10:32And let's see
10:34How our object
10:36Connects with our bone
10:38For that we will go
10:40To object mode
10:42And before connecting the bone
10:44I would like to show you
10:46One more thing
10:48The first thing you have to keep in mind
10:50When we are adding bone to any object
10:52So first of all
10:54We have to keep in mind
10:56The mesh of that object
10:58So you can see
11:00There is no cut from bottom to top
11:02If I select any face
11:04Then there is no cut
11:06From top to bottom
11:08So after connecting with this bone
11:10When I will bend it
11:12It will be difficult
11:14So let's do it first
11:16So if I want to connect this object
11:18With this bone
11:20So first of all I will select the object
11:22Then I will press shift and select this bone
11:24After that
11:26There is an option of CTRL P
11:28I have to press that
11:30After pressing CTRL P
11:32You will get an option
11:34With automatic weights
11:36All of these options are important
11:38But we will learn them one by one
11:40As soon as I click on automatic weights
11:42My object is
11:44Connected with this bone
11:46Let's see if it is connected or not
11:48If I want to check
11:50If it is connected or not
11:52So I will select my bone
11:54And move it from here to there
11:56So you can see my object is also moving
11:58But if I move the object
12:00You can see
12:02The object is moving
12:04So after connecting
12:06If you want to move any object
12:08Always move the object
12:10Never move the object
12:12If you move the object
12:14Then our bone will move
12:16And this line is telling me
12:18That we are connected with this bone
12:20So for now I will press CTRL Z
12:22So now if I want to animate my bone
12:24So for that
12:26I have the option of pose mode
12:28Whenever you want to animate
12:30You have to go to pose mode
12:32In pose mode
12:34If I press R
12:36You can see the upper part
12:38Will automatically move
12:40And the lower part
12:42Will remain as it is
12:44And you can see
12:46My cylinder
12:48Is not connected
12:50With the bone
12:52The reason is
12:54Our mesh is plain
12:56There is no cut in it
12:58The upper cut is captured
13:00And the lower cut
13:02Is captured
13:04But in the middle
13:06There are no vertices
13:08To connect
13:10Now in pose mode
13:12You saw how we can move it
13:14By pressing R
13:16Now we are in pose mode
13:18Let's see some shortcuts
13:20When we rotate any object
13:22If I rotate it by pressing R
13:24If I rotate it
13:26By pressing R
13:28Now you can see
13:30I have changed its position
13:32If I want to bring it back
13:34To its original position
13:36I have to press A
13:38And if I press Alt R
13:40It will come back to its original position
13:42Similarly if we move
13:44Something by pressing G
13:46You can see
13:48After moving
13:50I will press A
13:52And if I want to bring it back
13:54To its original position
13:56It will come back to its original position
13:58Let's come to the concept of connecting bone
14:00As you can see
14:02My bone is connected to the object
14:04And if I go to pose mode
14:06You can see
14:08If I move it
14:10It is moving
14:12But my object is not working
14:14As I told you
14:16There is no cut in it
14:18Let's add some cut
14:20To it
14:22So that it will connect
14:24To my bone
14:26Before that
14:28If I want to disconnect
14:30First I will select my object
14:32Then I will press Shift
14:34And if I want to disconnect
14:36I will press Alt P
14:38And I can disconnect it
14:40By pressing clear parent
14:42You can see
14:44My bone is disconnected
14:46Let's press Ctrl Z
14:48Now I will change my object
14:50And go to edit mode
14:52And I will smoothen the mesh
14:54I will press A
14:56And I will add some cut
14:58For that I will press Ctrl R
15:00And I will scroll my mouse
15:02So that I can make
15:04As many cuts as I want
15:06I have already told you
15:08All the tools
15:10You can watch it on my channel
15:12After adding all the cuts
15:14As I click
15:16You can see
15:18My mesh is divided
15:20And it will connect
15:22To my bone
15:24Let's connect it again
15:26One more thing
15:28As soon as I select my object
15:30I will press Shift
15:32And I will press Ctrl P
15:34But if I do the opposite
15:36First I will select my bone
15:38Then I will select my object
15:40And now I will press Ctrl P
15:42So my bone will not come here
15:44You have to remember this
15:46The reason for this is
15:48When we connect them
15:50First I will select my bone
15:52I will press Shift
15:54And I will select it later
15:56When my bone will be the main object
15:58Then I will press Ctrl P
16:00And I will select my bone
16:02And as soon as I click on
16:04With Automatic Weight
16:06It will connect to my bone
16:08Let's go to pose mode
16:10And if I animate it
16:12I will press R
16:14And you can see
16:16How it is moving
16:18The upper bone is disconnected
16:20The reason for this is
16:22I explained you the concept of child and parent
16:24And the second bone was removed
16:26That's why it is disconnected
16:28To connect them properly
16:30Let's go to edit mode
16:32I will select them again
16:34I will make it the main object
16:36Because it is my parent
16:38And I can press Ctrl P
16:40To connect it
16:42Now it is connected
16:44And I will press R
16:46To move it
16:48I will press R
16:50To move it
16:52If I rotate it
16:54You can see how it is wrongly connected
16:56To connect them properly
16:58Let's go to edit mode
17:00I will select it
17:02And I will select it later
17:04And I will press Ctrl P
17:06To connect it
17:08Let's go to pose mode
17:10This portion is my child
17:12This is my parent
17:14I will press R
17:16And you can see
17:18How it is moving
17:20If you work like this
17:22If your concept is clear
17:24Then you can change it
17:26If I want to rotate
17:28The lower part
17:30Then I can rotate it like this
17:32Let's move ahead
17:34And I will move forward
17:36And I will move the time bar
17:38To the upper side
17:40And I will make some pose
17:42And I will animate it
17:44If you want to animate
17:46Then you need to understand two things
17:48Here I have two options
17:50One is pose library
17:52And second is pose library
17:54If I press N
17:56And click on animation
17:58Then you can see my pose library
18:00I will clear this pose library
18:02In the next episode
18:04For now, this pose library
18:06With the help of this
18:08We will make a small animation
18:10This pose library is connected to asset browser
18:12If we make any character
18:14From asset browser
18:16Then we can take it in our scene
18:18Very easily
18:20If you haven't watched that episode
18:22Then it is a very important episode
18:24You can watch the episode of asset browser
18:26In my playlist
18:28For now, I will close this
18:30This pose library
18:32Is given to save different poses
18:34First of all
18:36I will save this pose
18:38So that I can select it easily
18:40Always remember
18:42Before saving any pose
18:44All the bones should be selected
18:46By pressing A
18:48Then only it will be saved in the pose library
18:50I have selected all the bones
18:52If I click on new
18:54And I will give it a name
18:56I will double click on it
18:58And I will give it a name
19:00Normal position
19:02Now you have to pay attention to one thing
19:04When you save it
19:06And you have given a name
19:08Here I have given an option
19:10Let me zoom in
19:12This option
19:14Is given to save
19:16Any pose
19:18When you are making any pose
19:20After making it
19:22You have to click on it
19:24And my pose will be saved
19:26Now if I want to save another pose
19:28Then I will double click on it
19:30And I will give it a name
19:32Right rotate
19:34As I told you
19:36All the bones should be selected
19:38By pressing A
19:40Then I will select all the bones
19:42After that
19:44I will add another pose
19:46Now I will give it a name
19:48Right rotate
19:50As soon as I click on it
19:52My pose will be saved
19:54Now again
19:56I have to give another pose
19:58I will select it from here
20:00By pressing R
20:02I will select it from here
20:04By pressing A
20:06I will select all the bones
20:08And I will add another pose
20:10I will give it a name
20:12Left rotate
20:14Now I have three poses
20:16By pressing A
20:18I will select all the bones
20:20And click on it
20:22Now let's see
20:24How this pose works
20:26If I want to create a normal pose
20:28Then I have to select it
20:30And
20:32I have to click on it
20:34If I click on it
20:36Then it will be in normal position
20:38If I click on right
20:40Then it will be in right position
20:42And if I click on left
20:44Then it will be in left position
20:46And if I click on left
20:48Then it will be in left position
20:50Now let's see
20:52How to animate it
20:54First of all
20:56I will take it in normal position
20:58You have to remember
21:00Always use object mode
21:02For animation
21:04Let me show you
21:06Select the object
