00:00Finally, I would like to say that there are no people from the government here, but I would like them to listen.
00:06I would like to say a few points.
00:08There is no reason to think that we will have to bring harmony,
00:13we will have to live with love and affection with the rest of the minorities,
00:17and we will have to bring them with us and move towards national development,
00:21rather than somehow separating them from us.
00:24And in reverse, if you have religious intolerance, then what is the harm?
00:29Conflict and violence will start, as you can see in the society.
00:34The minute you bring in religious intolerance, you will have conflict and violence in the society.
00:38Violation of human rights will start.
00:41These are obvious things, there is nothing to think about.
00:44There will be social division among the communities, there will be differences,
00:48and there will be economic deterioration, because it is the cost of all this.
00:51The cost of all this violence, the cost of all this conflict is the economic cost.
00:54It will increase, your country will go further back.
00:57There will be a brain drain, people will leave.
01:00They will say that there is a lot of conflict here, we will go from here and come to another country.
01:05So your brain drain will start.
01:07You are stopping development and innovation, because you are fighting all the time.
01:11You fight all day.
01:12So what will be the innovation and what kind of development?
01:15So I think you will have to think very important.
01:18As citizens, we have to change from today onwards.
01:21We need to bring in love and harmony towards our minorities.
01:24When our religion is saying this, our Ayin is saying this,
01:27then where are we getting the thought of intolerance from?
01:30I don't understand this.
01:31Jaya Jaggi came and said that the voices are unheard.
01:36So I will tell you that I have heard your voice today.
01:38At least your voice is heard and we will take it up at the Supreme Court.
01:42If anything else happens, at least I have heard your voice.
01:45And finally, I would like to say that there are no people from the government here,
01:49but I would like them to listen.
01:51And I would like to say four or five points, and I will say this in English.
01:54I would like them to follow this.
01:57These steps are necessary for us to take if we want to take the country to another level.
02:02If Pakistan wants to become a tolerant nation, a progressive nation and move forward,
02:07then these are some points that I will read.
02:10And there are five points.
02:11Firstly, the state must ensure the effective implementation of these constitutional provisions,
02:18which we saw above.
02:19It must take proactive measures to protect minorities from violence and discrimination,
02:25ensuring that perpetrators of such acts are brought to justice swiftly and decisively.
02:30Number two, the state must promote social harmony and tolerance through education
02:36and public awareness campaigns by fostering an environment of mutual respect and understanding.
02:42We can dismantle the barriers of prejudice and ignorance that often fuel discrimination.
02:48Number three, the state must ensure the equitable representation of minorities in all spheres of public life,
02:56including government, law enforcement and the judiciary.
03:00This representation is crucial for ensuring the minority perspectives are included
03:07in the decision-making processes that shape our society.
03:11Four, the state must protect the cultural and religious heritage of minority communities.
03:18This involves preserving places of worship, supporting cultural events
03:23and recognizing the contributions of minorities to the nation's rich tapestry of history and culture.
03:29And lastly, the state must provide avenues for redress and support for minority communities facing injustice.
03:36This includes establishing commissions or bodies tasked specially with addressing minority issues,
03:42ensuring that their voices are heard and their grievances addressed.
03:47And this is what I think the state has to follow and do and take it further.
03:54And in the end, I will just quote Dalai Lama for that. And I think he's explained it all so beautifully.
04:01He says and Dalai Lama says, my religion is very simple. My religion is kindness.
04:09Thank you very much.
