Stand Up To Racism activists have targeted the Reform UK party's London HQ as they accuse Nigel Farage and his MPs of whipping up racism and creating an atmosphere that allows the far right to run riot. Protest organiser Samira Ali said her gatherings have helped stop the far right from mobilising. Report by Etemadil. 00:35This is a national day, a protest to stop the far right.
00:38In London we're protesting outside Reform HQ because we think that Farage and Reform MPs are something to answer for
00:45in terms of rhetoric about stop the boats, whipping up what we say is racism and Islamophobia,
00:51trying to talk about refugees and migrants as the problem in society.
00:55This kind of language is what we think is creating the atmosphere in which the far right is able to run riot on our streets
01:01and terrorise and attack black, Asian and Muslim people.
01:05Our protests around Britain have shown that we have actually driven back the racists on our streets.
01:09On Wednesday we could have seen a situation in the scenes that we've seen over the past week
01:14where the far right was running through, taking over our streets and attacking mosques, refugee hotels and the rest of it.
01:23In doing so, we're saying that our protests are about building maximum unity
01:27and getting people out on the streets who actually disagree with what Farage says,
01:31disagrees with what the far right is doing and in doing so that's what has created,
01:35which has actually stopped some of the scenes on Wednesday.
01:39We think that it's testament to our massive mobilisations that the far right hasn't mobilised in a big way either today or on Wednesday.
01:46So we think that bringing people out in a protest in this way is actually what can stop them
01:51and we'll continue to do that while they're on the back foot as well.
