A total of 967 summonses were issued for various offences following an integrated traffic operation at several locations in Kuala Lumpur.

Kuala Lumpur deputy police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Azry Akmar Ayob told reporters that a total of eight individuals were detained for testing positive for drugs while 13 others were detained for drunk driving.

00:12Kuala Lumpur Deputy Police Chief Deputy Commissioner Datuk Azri Akmar Ayob reported that nearly
00:182,400 vehicles were inspected during the operation, which ran from 11 a.m. on Saturday to 5 a.m.
00:25on Sunday.
00:27As a result of the operation, police seized 29 vehicles for illegal modifications and
00:32detained 8 individuals who tested positive for drugs, along with 13 others for drunk
00:38driving.
00:39The operation, led by the Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department
00:44JSPT, also involved officers and personnel from the Narcotic Crime Investigation Department
00:50NCID, the Road Transport Department JPJ, and the Department of Environment DOE.
00:58DCP Azri explained that the primary objective of the operation was to ensure that vehicles
01:04and drivers complied with traffic regulations.
01:07The operation is conducted weekly in response to public complaints about noisy exhausts
01:13and dangerous stunts performed by some road users.
01:17DCP Azri urged the public to adhere to traffic regulations, avoid illegal vehicle modifications,
01:24and refrain from engaging in unlawful activities on the road.
01:28He stressed that riders performing dangerous stunts will be detained and prosecuted under
01:32the Road Transport Act 1987.
01:36The operation took place at several key locations in the city, including Jalan Sultan Aslan
01:41Shah, Jalan Tun Razak, and Jalan Bangsar.
