Day two at Blackpool Air Show as thousands of people flock to the resort

The resort’s spectacular annual Air Show - which features an array of magnificent flying machines started at 2pm on Sunday.

Visitors were treated to an awesome aerial display by the Red Arrows who closed the final show at around 5pm.

Thousands of people attended the event, with last year’s Air Show attracting an estimated 350,000 people to the Promenade over the two days.

00:12Showcasing the very best in British aviation with an incredible line-up of amazing flying
00:16machines and some of the country's most talented pilots, the resort is absolutely packed.
00:21There were concerns if this year's event was safe to attend after a mob of around 1,000
00:25anti-immigration protesters brought chaos to the town last weekend, but Councillor Lynn
00:29Williams was eager to reassure visitors that Blackport is safe, welcoming and inclusive.
00:35Phil Davies of Lancashire Police added they would not stand by if disorder begins or vandalism
