In Russia, a fire broke out in the cooling facilities of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, following a Ukrainian shelling of the town of Energodar.
The authorities declared that currently, all six power units of the power plant are in cold shutdown assuring that "there is no threat of steam explosion or other consequences. The radiation background around the nuclear power plant and the city of Energodar is reported as normal.
