Data from The NSW government Shows The state's top paid council CEOs are earning more than the Premier. Chris Minns Has an annual pay packet of $416,000. But some council bosses are paid more than half a million dollars a year.

00:34Penrith, Parramatta, Northern Beaches and Liverpool Plains councils all employed three
00:39CEOs over the financial year.
00:42There was a better indication of how much CEOs earned at the rest of the top ten councils
00:47as they only had one person in the role.
00:49The General Managers of Canterbury Bankstown, City of Sydney, Blacktown, Central Coast and
00:54Maitland all were on pay packets of more than half a million dollars.

00:59Local government New South Wales says council CEOs oversee large and complex organisations
01:05managing millions of dollars' worth of infrastructure, services and staff.
01:10The organisation added that councils can be large enterprises with over 2,000 employees.
