02:20At number nine, we have one of the most unexpected
02:28concept car drops of the year.
02:31This is the Skoda Vision 7S.
02:34You see this?
02:35What do you reckon that is?
02:37This is actually recycled tires.
02:51You've got the cameras here on the side, so no more mirrors, right?
02:55That's very futuristic.
02:57All right.
02:57You ready to see how you open this baby up?
02:59So when you press on this, look, it lights up.

03:04And it opens up like this to welcome you.

03:17So there is no B-pillar here.
03:20So there's nothing separating the front and the back.
03:23So it's much easier for passengers to get in and out.

03:32So then you can be in the back watching movies on your iPhone.

04:41You can draw on the door, which is just insane.

04:48So if you have kids, they can literally do little drawings on the door.

04:58Pedals come out.
05:00So freaking cool.
05:04You have all different levels of concept cars.
05:07Some of them are just shells, some of them the doors don't even open.
05:11This does pretty much everything, even drives, which is so cool.
05:19Number eight, Nissan stepped up this year
05:22into the hypercar sphere with their Nissan Hypercar.
05:34This right here.
05:36Boom, they go up and down here.
05:39Boom, they come out.
05:41Here we go.
05:42And look at all the carbon fiber here as the door opens up.
05:46Look at all of it. It's just everywhere.
05:49And now we can see the tunnel effect.
05:52Oh, yeah, that's pretty cool.
05:53Now around the back.
05:54One of my favorite features is actually the taillights.
05:58This is the turning signal.
05:59It's blinking at the moment.
06:00This you can't actually see the light.
06:02They've got the light bar in the back here.
06:04So they're actually just lighting up that space.
06:07It's a tunnel of light.
06:09You see what I mean?
06:10They've really gone into a lot of detail here.
06:12Watch these panels all across.
06:14They come towards you.
06:16That is crazy.
06:16How cool is that?
06:17They don't just come like out.
06:19They then separate.
06:32Number seven is a car I never thought I'd actually see.
06:36This is a car made from cardboard.
06:39Yo, this is the Citra Ollie.

07:03Look at this.
07:04You can stand on the roof of this car.
07:06Why, you might be asking, because you could literally use this roof
07:10to trim some trees in the yard or like help pitch a tent, whatever you want.
07:15Now, check out what it's made of.
07:17This right here.
07:18See how light that is.
07:20This is special recycled honeycomb cardboard.
07:23And look, it can actually withstand the weight of a human.
07:26And it's super, super light, which is incredible.
07:29This car is all about getting back to what you need.
07:32OK, where should we start here?
07:34Let's start here. Look at this.
07:36So this, boom, is where you charge it.
07:38Very cool. New design of the headlights as well.
07:42This kind of look, this shape.
07:44Now, the other thing you might have noticed straight away is this windscreen.
07:48Look at this straight up and down.
07:49It's kind of like Hummer-esque, isn't it?
07:51Now, the reason why they've done that is because this is the shortest
07:56amount of glass that you would need for a windscreen.
08:00If it's curved, you need more glass.
08:01You need more materials, right?
08:03And we're getting back to what you need.
08:05It's kind of like a mini pickup at the moment, but it fully converts.
08:09Right, show me. What do you do?
08:11Basically, open the trunk.
08:13Yeah. Oh, look at this.
08:15This is cool, isn't it?
08:17That's cool. Yeah.
08:18And then you have this that is movable.
08:21Yeah, it's a bit of modularity.
08:22So you drop it.
08:24It fits on the floor.
08:26Yeah.
08:28Slide that in.
08:29OK, voila.
08:30And then watch this.
08:33This pops open.
08:35We're converting the whole thing.
08:36And then the chairs, the back chairs, you see the headrests go up.
08:40Look at that. See? Up.
08:41And then we can
08:44drop the whole back seats down.
08:46Now you've got this whole area as your pickup area.
08:50So we just pop that open and here we go.
08:52Whoa, look at this.
08:54Look how bright it is.
08:55Bright orange, red color interior.
08:58And I was like, well, why? Why this color?
09:00They're like, well, we just want to make the biggest contrast
09:03between the white exterior and the bright red interior.
09:08And I think they did a great job choosing this color.
09:09Now here there's a little toggle.
09:13You have inverse doors.
09:15Look at this.
09:16So how freaking cool is this?
09:20Look at that interior.
09:21Look at this material.
09:22This is actually 3D printed and it's kind of foamy.
09:25This is how you control the car, like how you power it up.
09:29Of course, because this is like an extension of us as humans now,
09:32like our third arm.
09:33You take this wherever you go, your phone and you pop it in here
09:37and that will start the car up.
09:40A car that draws inspiration from a boat.
09:43This is the Cooper Dark Rebel.
10:00This is one of the coolest cars I've ever seen,
10:02and there's only one in the world.
10:04I'm going to be the first person to ever drive it in public.
10:06The first thing that you notice, apart from the shape, is the color, right?
10:09The color is called Mercury Drop
10:11and it's seven different layers of paint and chrome.
10:14But what's super cool about this color
10:16is that it actually lets light pass through it.
10:18So you see these lights?
10:19This is one of the three light configurations
10:21because this car has three drive modes.
10:23The first is called exponential square.
10:25It's kind of like the base kind of raw mode.
10:28But then what you can do is you can press a button
10:29and turn this into exponential cube, which is kind of like the race mode.
10:33So now you'll see lights turn off and then they kind of reset,
10:37recalibrate a little bit.
10:39And now you have them like hollow here, right?
10:41The third mode is exponential infinite.
10:44And what that is, is basically like the metaverse mode.
10:46This is a keel.
10:48It's supposed to be like a sailboat keel.
10:50That's pretty much like the blade that goes underneath the boat.
10:53And this is in the front and you'll see in the back.
10:55So it kind of just centers like a spine of the car.
10:58And what's cool is that the glass piece transitions seamlessly
11:02into the actual paint.
11:03What we all like on this channel are hidden doors.
11:05So you see right here, there's like two different logos.
11:08If we press this one like that,
11:12there you go.
11:13Fully electric.
11:13So you just pop it in, you charge it and that's it.
11:16Press that like this.
11:19In theory,
11:21it'll open automatically.
11:23So the car with the doors closed
11:27is 1.3 meters tall.
11:29That's very, very short.
11:30With the doors open, it's 2.2 meters tall.
11:33It goes from like Hasbulla to Shaquille O'Neal with one door.
11:38Take a look at the inside.
11:50There's a way to do this to protect the car.
11:53There you go.
11:56Some of these buttons actually work now.
11:58So if I tap this, the steering wheel actually moves.
12:03So on the steering wheel, that right there is a toggle.
12:06Right now, this is an exponential squared, which don't forget,
12:09is kind of like the comfort mode.
12:10And if I press it and toggle it like that,
12:14this will go into cubed.
12:17It's yellow.
12:18And then if I then put it into the next setting,
12:23that'll go into infinite, which is the metaverse mode.
12:26There's the infinity logo.
12:27And if I want to move, for example, the pedals,
12:30even though I'm a little bit shorter.
12:32Look at that.
12:35Yeah, that makes a difference.
12:36It's strange because I've never seen this inside of another car.
12:38Like for you guys to have an idea, like, look,
12:41that is like it feels like stone, but it's metal.
12:43They literally melt it.
12:44And it's just kind of the same way
12:46they do 3D printing with plastic.
12:47They do it with metal, which is pretty badass.
12:50All right, we're off.
12:53I love this steering wheel, man.
12:55This is awesome.
12:57It just feels like video gaming with all the lights.
13:02The future is now.
13:03At number five, this is the only car in the world
13:06that has cosmic dust headlights.
13:09This is the Alpine Alpenglow.
13:23Look, the wheel is actually designed to look like a snowflake.
13:28You see how this is clear?
13:29This is like an icicle as well.
13:31So you can see lots of these things now come around the back.
13:33This is the coolest bit, in my opinion.
13:35Just look at this.
13:38Look how wide it is.
13:39It's two meters wide.
13:40And of course, look at all of this translucent,
13:44like design language here with the wing being completely translucent.
13:48And then you've got the wheels.
13:50It's kind of reminds you of like ice, which is very cool.
13:52And then here, these elongated taillights.
13:55Oh, look at the blue glow.
13:58Check out the design of these headlights.
14:00Right. What would a car look like flying through space?
14:04It would pick up cosmic dust.
14:07Now you've got side cameras.
14:10You've got some sensors up here.
14:12This is a one seater car.
14:14So you sit right here and you're like, oh, this is so cool.
14:17It's a one seater car.
14:19So you sit right here when the car is running and you've got the steam
14:23coming out the back, it actually comes out of these vents.
14:26So it hits the blue light and it looks like the steam is like a blue,
14:31beautiful blue glow as it kind of flies off the back of the car.
14:38Here we are, the Audi Active Sphere.
14:40This is an augmented reality concert car
14:44that comes with a helicopter.
14:48Oh, yeah.
15:03Check this out.
15:09Oh, yeah.
15:13The future is now.
15:15This is a sportback SUV.
15:18It's also an off-roader and it's also a pickup truck.
15:21The grill is made of glass.
15:23It's completely see through from the driver's side.
15:26You can actually see what's in front of you.
15:28So if you have a big rock right here.
15:30Yeah, you can see it from from there.
15:32The headlights are sick.
15:34You have all these little pixels.
15:35You see how they're just kind of flowing around.
15:37Side view cameras.
15:39Razor sharp, cutting through the wind.
15:42And what I like as well is if you look at the door,
15:45this is also see through glass.
15:47But what happens if you have a sportback that can turn into a pickup truck?
15:51Let's take a look. Ready?
15:53Look at this.
15:56Glass panel literally slides up elegantly.
16:01And suddenly we went from a sport SUV to a pickup truck.
16:05This car went from European to American in 10 seconds.
16:08Just take a look at this. Ready?
16:09Position yourself here.
16:10Look straight on.
16:12When have you ever seen through the grill from the back in any car?
16:19I've never seen that anywhere.
16:20So all we got to do is say the magic word.
16:24Rise.
16:28Look at that.
16:31Panel comes up and then the glass fully seals it.
16:34You don't have any dash right now because this is in fully autonomous mode.
16:38So this is a driverless experience.
16:39But if you want to snap your fingers,
16:41it'll come up.
16:42But what you still see is even though this comes up and you get a steering wheel,
16:48there's still no displays or kind of gauge clusters.
16:51There's no real infotainment or anything. Right.
16:53And that's where the augmented reality comes in.
16:56This is crazy. I see a huge map in front of me.
16:58Different geographical data, heavy rain.
17:01This is pretty cool.
17:01It's like it's like navigation.
17:03But at the same time, it maps out where the rain is.
17:06It's points of interest.
17:08If I go up to the top right here, this is my music selection.
17:11All I do is hover like that, you see.
17:14And if I keep my finger on one of the songs like that,
17:18augmented realities now for my climate control.
17:22You see there, I just put my hand hovers up and now I can change the temperature.
17:26I can actually move it left.
17:36That is cool.
17:38So now the augmented reality also changes to driver mode
17:42where I can put my hands here, I believe.
17:45And you see how now I get kind of like a gauge cluster,
17:48speedometer, tire pressure.
17:52And at number three, this is an icon re-envisioned.
17:56It's the Mercedes-Benz Vision 111.
18:21This is actually the re-imagined version of the original C111.
18:27And it's absolutely gorgeous because we've gone electric.
18:30We've got this amazing digital screen and it's like properly thick pixels.
18:34And that's because it pays homage to the older versions, the 60s and the 70s.
18:39So the side skirts are purposefully made in like this contrasting color
18:43to give that major contrast between like the smooth aesthetic of the outside
18:48to like the beautiful, like technical contrast of the the side skirt.
18:53Let's check out the back.
18:54We've got our pixelated display at the back and there we go.
18:58Now this is like almost acting as headlights.
19:00So your indicator would be here flashing if you needed to turn, brake lights.
19:06This is almost where the battery power would be.
19:08It'll tell you what the percentage is.
19:10But now I've got 111% because, of course, paying homage to the C111.
19:14Check out the back.
19:15This is, of course, paying homage to the C111.
19:18Check out this interior.
19:19So they've gone with like this silver that kind of like represents the past,
19:24like the 70s, but then also this like bright futuristic.
19:29This button over here, if I push it back, the seat goes back.
19:34Forward.
19:36The position of this, your knees are actually higher than your booty.
19:40And that's because it's got racing mode as well.
19:42So you're literally sitting in the car like a Formula One driver.
19:46Knees up, seat in.
19:48The coolest thing is the five point harness has this awesome Mercedes star in
19:52and it's like really heavy.
19:53We've got another pixelated screen on it all the way across here.
19:57It's like super thin and sleek.
19:59Look at this.
20:01It's just it's absolutely floating.
20:07What?
20:12This is crazy.
20:14At number two, there is a very good reason why it sits at this spot.
20:18This is the incredible BMW Gina concept.
20:21It has moving skin.
20:23Yeah.
20:24Moving skin.
20:31Watch this.
20:37What is going on?
20:40The front of the car literally splits open.
20:42Isn't that crazy?
20:44All right.
20:45Stand back.
20:46You ready for this?
20:48Watch this.
20:51Secret headlights.
20:54That is awesome.
20:55What's also cool about the front is that you can literally change the entire
20:59character of it.
21:00Ready?
21:01Want to change the body shape?
21:04Look at that.
21:04That is crazy.
21:05Basically, what's happening is that this car is wrapped in a kind of elastic
21:10fabric.
21:10You see that?
21:11I can literally poke it, bounce his back.
21:15And the inside has these splines.
21:17You see that?
21:18These lines.
21:19And these are movable.
21:21So now, when you open the door, you don't get a shut line.
21:25Instead, what you get is kind of a wrinkle.
21:27What?
21:29But look at how crazy this looks.
21:31This is called polyurethane.
21:33Never used that word before, ever.
21:35But it's polyurethane, and there's a hidden button somewhere around here.

22:00So now what you have, yeah, is a more sporty look.
22:03I mean, I think that this kind of technology is amazing.
22:07Can you imagine if you had a car that you could just kind of change around
22:10whenever you wanted to?
22:11What you'll see is you have a spoiler.
22:14You want a bigger spoiler?
22:15No problem.
22:16What you can do, press a button, and you get a bigger one.
22:24Now, actually, one of the first questions that I asked is,
22:26how do you prevent this from melting?
22:28Well, they found a material that can handle the heat,
22:30unless you kind of overdo it completely.
22:32I want to show you guys something that's also interesting.
22:34You have a seamless transition from the exterior going down to the interior.
22:37You see that?
22:38This is still the same panel going from the back all the way to the front,
22:41and this leads up all the way to the gear selector.
22:44This is actually a stick shift that is fully functional.
22:46The entire car is fabric.
22:48I was literally looking for pieces.
22:49This looks like it's solid to me.
22:51This looks like it's aluminum.
22:52No, it's not.
22:53It's fabric.
22:53This, fabric.
22:54That, fabric.
22:55That's fabric.
22:56Everything is fabric.
22:56So what are we actually looking at?
22:59The car is called the BMW Gina, which stands for Geometry and Functions
23:04in N Adaptions,
23:05which is basically just a fancy way of saying that this car can shapeshift.
23:09At number one, Porsche fans, you're going to love this.
23:12This is the incredible Porsche Mission X concept,
23:17but it might actually go into production.
23:20When I said this is the first ever hypercar from Porsche,
23:35you might be looking at this baby right here, the 918.
23:38That's the Carrera GT.
23:39What do you mean?
23:40They're hypercars.
23:41Apparently, Porsche calls them super sports cars.
23:45This is what they call a hypercar.
23:48Now look at these headlights.
23:49How cool is this?
23:50So fully redesigned here.
23:53Here, look, there's no mirror, side mirror.
23:56There's no camera here either.
23:58What is cool, and this is the first time I've ever seen this,
24:01is they've got the camera back here on the back of the door.
24:05So this is for aerodynamics, and actually the placement gives you really good views
24:10of the car from both sides.
24:12Around here, look at this.
24:14When do you ever get an extra windscreen up the top?
24:19This is Daytona inspired.
24:21These wheels are cool too, guys.
24:22Look at this.
24:23So they're actually different on the back to the front.
24:26They're a different design completely.
24:29When you close off the back wheel like this, it's more aerodynamic for the car.
24:32First thing you notice is the steering wheel.
24:35Look at this.
24:36So it's quite compact.
24:37You've got the Porsche logo in the middle, and I've been told that's made out of
24:41brushed, precious metals.
24:44Look at this light that runs the length of the seat.
24:48I love that detail.
24:50That is so cool.
24:51For the first time ever, you can actually see straight through the wheel.
24:56And I've just never even thought about that design detail before.
24:59Usually, this is all covered.
25:01This right here, very cool.
25:03Now, your passenger can obviously see this the best, but look what it does.
25:09It's removable, and you can take this around with you.
25:11And so if this goes into production, they're going to make this super lightweight,
25:15so you can literally take all of your info, like the racing laps and everything,
25:19with you, place it on the table, and go,
25:21ha-ha, I'm faster than you around the track.
25:24There's a huge button right in central in the car.
25:29This is a record button.
25:32The most central button in the whole car is a record button.
25:36That is so that when you are going around the track, you can literally go record,
25:40and you've got four cameras, one here, one here, one at the front,
25:44and one at the back that records your lap around the track.
25:49Got to see the lights, guys. Ready?
25:51Tail lights go on.
25:53Look at it running across the back.
25:55Beautiful.
25:56And then the indicators, so across these two panels.
26:01But wait, you've got to see this.
26:03Watch what the E does, guys.
26:05The whole Porsche lettering goes off, except for the E.
26:09That pulsates in blue to indicate that it's charging.
26:14I love that feature.
26:15How cool was that, guys?
26:17That was so much fun for us to go and see and film this year.
