Shakespeare's Globe retells Antony and Cleopatra with British Sign Language

In a step towards better inclusivity, Shakespeare's Globe in London is presenting a retelling of Antony and Cleopatra with some actors using British Sign Language on stage.

00:44play, it's very readable for an audience whether they know Shakespeare or not and it's a fantastic
00:48way to open the play up to a wider audience.
00:53Deaf people, it's an invisible disability, you don't know somebody's deaf, so if there's
00:58an emergency, a train station, the fact that anyone within the community could potentially
01:04sign to a deaf member of society, I think it's really, really important and it's important
01:08to not be a second class citizen, it's about being a first class citizen.
