Harrison Ford, Angela Bassett, Miley Cyrus and More Honored as Disney Legends

Disney will bestow “legends” status to 14 artists, including Harrison Ford, Angela Bassett and Miley Cyrus, who have shaped the company.  The honorees, who the company says have had a “significant impact” on Disney’s legacy, include director James Cameron, iconic film composer John Williams, Jamie Lee Curtis and Kelly Ripa, among several others.

00:09The people behind the magic who inspire our sense of wonder through creativity, storytelling, and entertainment.

00:16Welcome to the Disney Legends Ceremony.

00:20Stories are for you, about you, about us, our common humanity.

00:28But I'm so very grateful. Thank you very much.

00:33Tonight, she makes history as the youngest Disney Legend Award recipient ever. Here we go.

00:42It is all because of you. Everyone in this room, outside of this room, it's all about the fans.

00:47But in my heart, I was Hannah Montana.

00:56And I was so proud to be. This award is dedicated to Hannah and all of her amazing, loyal fans.

01:04And to everyone who has made my dream a reality.

01:09It is an honor to stand alongside you, each of you.

01:13I have understood that I am a part of something greater than myself.

01:19I share this honor with all of you.

01:23And to the fans, you are the magic.

01:26Thank you once again for recognizing me as a Disney Legend.

01:33That's why we're here. It's the Disney in all of us.

01:39You are the legends, because without you, none of this is possible.
