00:05Yeah, and just a moment, John Young and Colin Hewitt perform live just for us.
00:17Next week for you on The Morning Show with all that exclusive behind-the-scenes interviews with other people close to INXS.
00:24We've dug deep for you. It's going to be terrific. We'll look forward to that next week.
00:27All right, let's go. With a combined 90-plus years in the entertainment industry, our next guests are true icons of the biz.
00:34Johnny Young started entertaining as a teenager in Perth before becoming a household name as a singer, songwriter and, of course, as host of Young Talent Time.
00:44Are you at home? When we go out walking, all the boys are talking.
00:52Colin Hewitt first performed on TV at age 13 before becoming Queen of Pop in the 70s.
00:59Did you ever know that you're my hero? And everything I'd like to be?
01:11Colin and Johnny are teaming up with fellow legend Normie Robe for a special concert, and they've dropped by to give us just a taste.
01:18Here's Johnny Young and Colin Hewitt with United We Stand.
01:27Thanks, guys. Good morning.
01:31Morning.
01:35There's nowhere in the world that I would rather be than with you, my love.
01:44Thanks, Johnny.
01:46And there's nothing in the world that I would rather see than your smile, my love.
01:57For united we stand, divided we fall.
02:04And if our back should ever be against the wall, we'll be together, together, you and I.
02:20For united we stand, divided we fall.
02:27And if our back should ever be against the wall, we'll be together, together, you and I.
02:43Now listen, Mama.
02:45If the world around us should fall apart, my love, I'll still be here.
02:54Thanks, Johnny.
02:56And if the going gets too hard along the way, just call me, Johnny.
03:01Okay, what's your number?
03:02I'll always be there.
03:04For united we stand, divided we fall.
03:13And if our backs should ever be against the wall, we'll be together, together, you and I.
03:26Come on.
03:28For united we stand, divided we fall.
03:36And if our backs should ever be against the wall, we'll be together, together, you and I.
03:49Come on, kids, clap your hands for us.
03:51Everybody, come on.
03:52For united we stand, divided we fall.
03:58And if our backs should ever be against the wall, we'll be together, together, you and I.
04:12Together, you and I.
04:20Come on, kids, we're together.
04:23We'll join Johnny and Colleen for two special shows in Melbourne.
04:27For dates and booking info, see the daily show info section on our website.
04:31The 14th and the 15th of February, by the way, in case you want to book.
04:34And we've reserved two seats for you guys to sit down in the front.
04:37Can I just say, can I just say, that is the song that we sing to each other every morning before the show.
04:42And we will not be sitting in seats.
04:43We're up on stage doing those ones.
04:45Absolutely.
04:46With some lighters.
04:47They have iPhones now.
04:50This sounds to me like the ultimate reminiscing show.
04:54It is nostalgic, but you know, Colleen Hewitt is working on a brand new album at the moment,
05:00which I know I wasn't supposed to talk about, but it is the most, I've heard a couple of the tracks,
05:05the most fantastic sounding album ever.
05:07Yes.
05:08And so, you know, we're doing a little tour around Australia just to remind people that we're still around and enjoying ourselves.
05:13And we've never been anywhere else.
05:16We've been in radio and singing and recording and writing songs for like more years than you've even had a career.
05:24And we're just doing it because we've got nothing else to do.
05:29How hard is it keeping the two of them in line, Colleen, as the only female there?
05:33It's pathetic. It's so sad. I really pity all their wives.
05:37We've been working on a television documentary for the Gallipoli anniversary coming up next year,
05:43which Normie Rowe is hosting and I'm producing, and it's looking absolutely fabulous.
05:48So, you know, we're close, mate. Colleen's in it as well. It's very unique.
05:53He produced my first record, Superstar.
05:54Is that right?
05:55From 1970.
05:56I love the history of you. It's great.
05:57And so, you know, we love getting together. We've all known each other for 40 or 50 years.
06:02We grew up as teenagers together in the rock and roll scene in Australia.
06:06We know everyone's, all the husbands, all the wives that have gone, you know, moved in amongst us all.
06:11All the skeletons.
06:12All of them. We know all the secrets.
06:14I am in the middle of writing my biog, actually, but it's not to be released until I'm dead.
06:19And Colleen's son...
06:20Otherwise, I'll go to jail.
06:21Colleen's son, William, plays in the band. He's a wonderful musician as well.
06:25Full rates? Does he get full rates or is he...
06:27If I see. Mama.
06:29Oh, yeah. I want this backstage.
06:32I was doing your laundry for so long, it's payback time.
06:35Exactly.
06:36Guys, thank you so much.
06:37Thank you for having us.
06:38Thanks, Larry.
06:39Good morning, Australian.
06:40Thank you very much.
06:42Hello, Australia.
06:43Thanks.
06:44Goodbye, Australia.
06:45Great, guys. Thank you so much.
06:46Thanks.
