00:00Somehow we've got to, like, get there, like, how do we get that Olympic flag from Paris to LA in a sequence?
00:07The goal was to create a film as action-packed as a Hollywood movie.
00:11Action.
00:14When you're trying to think of, like, an action sequence, trying to make, like, a movie of somebody stealing that flag from Paris to LA, you sort of only think of one person, and that was Tom Cruise.
00:23Talk about an entrance, I mean, are you kidding me?
00:26I love it. I love it.
00:27We're in Paris, we're doing it.
00:28So this handover is, like, part of Olympic history, you know, so Paris will hand us the flag, and we will keep that flag here, we will fly it home, it'll be in City Hall, it'll be in Los Angeles, until our closing ceremony is when we hand it to Brisbane.
00:41So it's 4 o'clock in the morning, Tom's just flown in, he's here for one day to film with us, and we're going to do some mad things today, as only Tom Cruise would do.
00:49Ben pitched us this idea over a year ago, he said, Tom Cruise jumps into Stade de France, he grabs the Olympic flag, he races through the streets of Paris, flies to LA, skydives, and who better to bring it home than the world's most famous actor, who has pushed the limits of what we think is possible.
01:07I'll go up on that sidewalk.
01:093, 2, 1, action.
01:11Action.
01:17When Ben was talking to me about it, I think he got about two sentences out, I said, I'm in, let's go and do this.
01:23You'll pitch him an idea, and he will almost, like, one-up you, and make it even better.
01:30Camera's rolling.
01:32And, action.
01:33And, action.
01:39Bringing the Games home to Los Angeles is the opportunity of a lifetime for Team USA athletes.

01:58There's so many amazing places that my bike has taken me, and of course, like, competing, riding, exploring the world, like, that is what drives me, that's what I'm excited about.
02:08It's art, you know, when you see these athletes, they take it to that level, it's really very powerful to see, very inspirational.
02:16We are so excited to bring the Games back to Los Angeles, and of course, for the athletes, there is nothing like a home game.

02:39Some athletes spend their entire lives training.
02:43For many athletes, it's over in less than a minute, and for someone like Michael Johnson, it's over in a flash.
02:47Here it comes, three, two, one, action.

02:56Atlanta was obviously an amazing moment for me, it was a home Olympics for me.

03:20Skateboarding is something where you get on the board and nobody else will skate like you.
03:25And especially in a place in LA, individuality is so important.
03:29We are setting the stage for this incredible event we're bringing to LA for the athletes, because once our games begin, it is their time, it is what they have trained for, it is their moment to be amazing and to shine.

04:04This is the place where people come to tell their stories to the world.
04:08Just to be here, just to make it to the Olympics is a tremendous, tremendous accomplishment, and I know that it inspires the world, so it's very special to be part of it, to contribute in some small way.
04:22We are so excited, and we can't wait to welcome the world to LA in 2028.
04:26I hope people around the world love it, and I hope it's a real great launchpad for what I think will be one of the greatest Olympics of all time, which will be in 2028 in Los Angeles.
04:34This is the perfect way to tell our story.
