Join co-founder and CEO Tim Morten at Frost Giant Studios for a look at Stormgate, game modes, and more features you can expect from this real-time strategy game that is available now in Early Access on Steam.

In Stormgate, wage war on post-apocalyptic Earth in a new science-fantasy universe, where humanity remains under siege after a cataclysmic invasion by demonic forces. Players can choose to command one of three highly asymmetric factions: the Vanguard, a resilient human defense force deploying rocket-powered mechs and faithful robot dogs; the Infernal Host, a demonic army with war-mongering brutes and pestilence-spewing dragons; and the Celestial Armada, a mysterious faction of angelic Biosynths with its deadly Machine Legion.

00:00Hi, I'm Tim Morton from Frost Giant Studios.
00:09We're incredibly excited to release our first game, Stormgate, into early access.
00:15All of our foundational game modes are available, and each of them has a variety of starter
00:20content for players to experience.
00:25We're an independent studio, and we chose to go that path because we wanted to be able
00:29to make the kind of game that we want to make.
00:32But at the same time, we don't have the same resources of a big publisher.
00:36At a big publisher, it's possible to work in secrecy for years and years and have a
00:42reveal of a completely finished and polished product.
00:46Early access lets us take an incremental approach to developing our game, and it has the benefit
00:52of giving us player feedback along the way.
00:55At the same time, early access is not for everyone.
01:00Some aspects of our game are still works in progress.
01:06Most recently, we got to work on our story campaign mode.
01:10And that mode is the most complex, with deep scripting abilities and also functionality
01:16to tell a story within the game engine.
01:19The engine is hot off the presses, but we have a lot of plans to continue to improve that.
01:26We've already received valuable feedback from the preview weeks that we held for our early
01:30access, and we're working on addressing that feedback.
01:33Getting feedback helps us set the priorities for our development process, and that's very
01:37much in the spirit of what early access is all about.
01:41At the same time, it's important to remember that early access is different from a 1.0 release.
01:46We expect to spend at least another year working towards our own 1.0 release.
01:52There'll be tons of content updates along the way, including new features, new game
01:57modes, and all sorts of new content.
02:00And of course, we'll continue to polish what we've already released into early access.
02:05Our next major release is actually coming up in the second half of September.
02:09We're really grateful to all of you for participating in our early access period, and we're looking
02:16forward to seeing you online.
