08:01is the fact that Harriet uploaded the picture
08:03while Sabrina was inside of a plastic bag,

08:15Eventually, authorities were able to track down the 17-year-old mother
08:19who quickly made a horrifying confession.
08:21She told investigators that she'd asked her stepmother
08:24to drive her and Sabrina from Sayre, Pennsylvania, to Elmira, New York
08:28in order to visit Jodi on August 5th, 2017.
08:31She further states that she informed her stepmother
08:34that Jodi had reportedly left the back door open for Harriet and Sabrina to enter the home.
08:38However, this is a bold-faced lie.
08:41Once the teenager and her daughter were at the house,
08:43they sat on the back porch before Harriet made a phone call to her friend, Alexis Shadow.
08:48But the conversation supposedly turned volatile,
08:51in which Harriet became upset.
08:53In her police statement, she confessed,
08:55I was already stressed and depressed prior to this,
08:58and this argument did not help me.
09:00I think I snapped and I didn't want to do anything physically to harm Sabrina because of my anger.
09:04I decided that I needed some time away from Sabrina,
09:07so I decided to walk away from her.
09:09Before I left, I decided that I wanted for Sabrina to be safe,
09:12so I placed her into a garbage bag so she wouldn't get cold or rained on.
09:16I then took the bag with Sabrina in it
09:18and placed it over near some bushes in the backyard area.
09:21I stayed with Jodi throughout the weekend,
09:24Apparently, she left Sabrina between the hours of 11 a.m. and 12 p.m.
09:29In addition, Harriet states that she informed people
09:31that Sabrina's father was taking care of the child for a couple of days.
09:35But the heartbreaking truth remains
09:37that Harriet heartlessly abandoned her child.
09:39The 17-year-old mother was taken into custody
09:42and charged with attempted murder in the second degree.
09:44Thankfully, Sabrina would make it out alive of the unthinkable horror.
09:48In December of 2017,
09:50Harriet pleaded guilty to attempted murder in the second degree
09:53and was later sentenced in February 2018 to nine years in prison
09:58in addition to five years of post-release supervision.
10:01If she'd gone to trial,
10:02Harriet could have been facing up to 25 years in prison
10:05had she been found guilty.
