00:44their lives. All of you being in your 60s obviously no plans to slow down.

01:07I stopped the singing. People don't have money left over to come down to the local
01:11club to just to see a little Aussie battler so yeah I did I went into some
01:16musicals for about a decade. Perhaps a little more under the radar than his
01:19co-stars has been Johnny Young's ability to pen number one hits. All of
01:26John's songs have a start a middle and an end and that's what I find seems to
01:31miss out even with some of the big hits.
01:35When I wrote Smiley for Ronnie Burns I wrote it about Normie because the words
01:42go yesterday we had laughter and songs to sing yesterday we had love and to
01:46burn yet today there's a war and there's peace to bring when will they learn?
01:53Is it easier or more difficult do you think to break into the music industry
01:56these days? That's what's missing in television today is the development of
02:00the talent. They show finishes and they're out there on their own because
02:04there's nowhere for them to go. Which of the current pool of reality stars have
02:08the talent to go all the way? Guy Sebastian who's been able to continue
02:13Damien Hiem has a potential of perhaps being the greatest female artist ever to
02:18come out of Australia. They would be incredibly fortunate to have equally
02:22long and successful careers. We're just blessed totally blessed to be able to do
02:28something that other people enjoy.
