Wendy's Sheffield: I tried new menu items at the new Wendy's near Meadowhall and they were really good

The Star was invited to look inside the new Wendy's restaurant in Sheffield near to Meadowhall.  Harry Harrison tried three new menu items ahead of the restaurant officially opening on August 15, 2024.

00:00The fast food chain Wendy's has opened its second Sheffield restaurant after the one it opened on

00:05High Street in the city centre two years ago. It has opened at Arena Court near the Utilita

00:11Arena in Sheffield and I have tried a few of their new menu items and also had a look around

00:19inside. It is opening today get down there and try it out for yourself. So this is your Wendy's

00:26iced coffee. It just says it's an iced coffee but it's new they didn't have them in the previous one

00:31in Sheffield city centre so we're going to give it a go. If you're an iced coffee fan that'll be

00:39right up your street. It tastes like an iced coffee and I'm sure it'll work like an iced

00:44coffee as well. Right so our next new item which has been on the menu in the city centre Wendy's

00:50for a little while but it's the chicken jalapeno popper burger. This is new I've not had this one

00:56before and we're going to give it a go. That's really nice if you like a spicy food that's

01:03pretty good you get the vinegaryness of your jalapeno and it's very cheesy. There's a cheese

01:08sauce or something in there as well that's a good one. One of the better chicken burgers Wendy's do

01:14I'd say. So these are the baconator jalapeno something like that loaded fry. You can get

01:23baconator fries I've done that when the Wendy's opened in Sheffield city centre and that was

01:29lovely. I really really like those and I imagine this will be exactly the same but spicier and so

01:33I'll let you know very very quickly. Okay we've got a nice big forkful there. That's good
