00:00Honored and grateful to Sparkle star Gabby Garcia as she goes international for the film Death March and she will be joined by the British action star Scott Adkins.
00:14How are they as co-stars? Let's talk to Aubrey Carampil.
00:18Sparkle star Gabby Garcia as Nurse Teresa is wearing a costume when she was interviewed for the set of the international film Death March in Morong, Bataan.
00:31She was chosen for the role of a Filipino nurse who served in a Prisoners of War camp during World War II.
00:40My character is also unique because I am a Filipino nurse and most of the cast members here are male.
00:49Especially before, women were looked down upon. So watch out for what will happen here in this film.
00:57British action star Scott Adkins will be joined by Gabby Garcia. That's why she will definitely be a part of the action scenes.
01:07It's exciting because I will be able to see Scott in these fight scenes. I am also excited to see him in action.
01:16Scott was known for his action movies, especially in the Undisputed film series as Yuri Boyka.
01:24In his Instagram account, Scott posted pictures of his character and their shooting in Bataan.
01:32I play a British soldier who was kidnapped and put in the Japanese Prisoners of War camp and fought to fight for his life with the Japanese soldiers who were also karate masters.
01:44So lots of action, lots of fight scenes.
01:46Gabby says that they often have scenes together. What can he say about the actress?
01:53She's a lovely girl, very nice, great actress. I'm enjoying it here in the Philippines. I'm having a good time working with all the crew.
02:01They're very hardworking. I think we've got a good movie so it's been a good experience.
02:07It's fun because he's so open. Even if he doesn't shoot, if I do, he still supports me in the scene.
02:14He's really making an effort. He's easy to talk to, very easy to have a conversation with.
02:21It's Scott's first time in the Philippines and he's with his family who are enjoying their walk in the Subic Bay area.
02:30We have gone to some places around the Subic Bay but they've been having a good time, enjoying the food.
02:36Thank you for looking after me and giving me a warm greeting here in the country.
02:41A lot of people see me and shout, Boyka! So I'm glad that you like my movies.
02:46Death March is also co-produced by Myriad Entertainment, the company of Asia's multimedia star Alden Richards and Reality MM Studios.
02:56Gabby has learned a lot from her international stars and crew.
03:02The people here in the set are very welcoming. We Filipinos are very welcoming to them.
03:08It's nice to get to know their culture as well when it comes to working. I get to learn from them a lot.
03:21The new Korean series, The Tyrant, is full of action, starring Opa Kim and Son Ho.
03:27The cast wants to visit the Philippines. Let's talk to Nelson Canlas.
03:36GMA Integrated News had the opportunity to interview the stars of the new Disney series, The Tyrant,
03:43starring Jo Yoon-Soo, Cha Seung-Won, Kim Seon-Ho, and Kim Kang-woo.
03:50According to the four Korean stars, they are not far from visiting the Philippines in the near future to bond with their fans.
03:59I hope so. If there's an opportunity, I'd love to go.
04:03We now live in an era where the global community can enjoy a TV show all together simultaneously, so I'd love to go.
04:19I didn't have that much physical action, but I had a whole ton of English lines that I had to convey.
04:25And I'm supposed to be this person who lived in the U.S., so I bet that my pronunciation has to be just like a U.S. person.
04:34So I really tried hard to make sure that I sounded natural.
04:37This is the comeback of the certified Opa, who has a big fan base in the country, Kim Seon-Ho.
04:43He became famous as the good boy of the start-up.
04:46He also became famous in the hometown of Cha-Cha-Cha and also in the movie, The Chilled.
04:52From the start, he was already excited to be included in the series.
04:56I worked on Director Park's past film together, and I'm also a big fan of his The Witch franchise.
05:06And I love the action and dynamics between the characters in this show.
05:10And even before I got the script, Director Park told me about the narrative, the storyline, and I knew that it was going to be amazingly fun.
05:19And for Jo Yoon-Soo, the project was an instant fan-girling for her.
05:26So these are people that I saw in the TV growing up, and I'm a big fan of all these guys.
05:32So, you know, just the thought of working alongside them made me have butterflies in my stomach.
05:40And they were so nice to me. They always looked out for me, and they would encourage me and give me a lot of advice regarding acting.
05:47So I think it was an honor for me to be able to work together on a project with them.
05:51And I regard myself as a very lucky person.
05:54Nelson Canlas, updated on Shoebiz Happenings.
05:57Gen-Z vibes?
05:59Even though the stars of the new youth-oriented show of GMA Public Affairs, Maka, are still in the pictorial.
06:05The taping will start next week, but for now, let's see their closeness.
06:11Meet Lars Santiago.
06:18Young, hip, and talented.
06:22Say hello to the new Gen-Z brotherhood that will be seen in the new youth-oriented show of GMA Public Affairs, Maka.
06:32The leads of the pictorial are already in the pictorial.
06:35They are Sepani, Marco Maza, Ashley Sarmiento, Olive May, Dylan Menor, and John Clifford.
06:43Also included in the cast of the pictorial are Romnick Sarmenta, Sian Lucas, the internet sensation Bangus Girl,
06:52and Shanti Videla, a member of the K-pop group Lopilus.
06:58Actually, we were able to feel our characters through our outfits and our looks.
07:05We were able to bond, and I became more comfortable with my colleagues.
07:10This is it. It's real. It's really happening, and I'm very excited.
07:15While we were doing the pictorial earlier, we were able to talk about the love triangles.
07:19The cast is happy to be with a K-pop artist like Shanti.
07:26I was a bit starstruck by her.
07:28She's very sweet, and she's very kind.
07:30I'm curious about how she works.
07:33Shanti, on the other hand, is thankful for the warm reception from her.
07:39I expect to be closer with the cast.
07:43And since this is my first project with GMA,
07:47I'm so excited to get to know more of the actors and actresses I'll be working with on the show.
07:56Next week, they'll start taping.
08:01But during the shoot and their TikTok entries,
08:05you can already see the closeness of the Gen Z cast members.
08:12One of the stars they're looking forward to is their teacher, Romnick.
08:20I always enjoy working with new people because it broadens my horizons.
08:28I still have a lot to learn.
08:31Lar Santiago updated on the showbiz happening.
