00:00Dan, on the Premier League season, obviously, you know, a new season, excitement is starting
00:06to build. Who sort of stands out as one to watch, whether it's a player, a manager, a
00:11team that maybe make a fantastic start to the season? Obviously, we've seen the champions,
00:16Manchester City, they tend to start quite slowly and just sort of steamroll over the
00:21Christmas period and into the new year. But in terms of starting this new season, who
00:25should maybe fans, if they've never watched the Premier League, could be excited to look
00:30out for? I think you've got to look at Arsenal for
00:32starters, because, of course, they've been the team who've pushed Manchester City the
00:35closest in the last two years. And let's be honest, they need to be nearly faultless if
00:40they are going to beat them, because they've been just under-faultless for the last two
00:45seasons and it hasn't quite worked out for them. It'll be interesting to see what Liverpool
00:49are like under Arnie Slott, whether they'll be any different, any better, any worse than
00:53how they were under Jurgen Klopp. Of course, Aston Villa playing in the Champions League,
00:57that'll be interesting. Like Newcastle the season before, will the European fixtures
01:02and having that smaller squad impact them in the league, the way it did Newcastle and
01:07the injuries Newcastle picked up? Because, of course, that affected them a lot, especially
01:11around the winter time. Ultimately, they finished seventh. Will Aston Villa have a similar drop-off?
01:15United are going to have a tough opening game against Fulham. I think they've recruited
01:19quite well and they've got a lot of Premier League experience now. They've got a lot of
01:23players who, on their day, are very exciting. I think Smith Rowe is a good capture for
01:27them. Obviously, they've been interested in McTominay as well. That's a transfer that's
01:31still ongoing, but both clubs have a bit of a standoff there. They're the type of players
01:37that you like to see these mid-table teams attract. They're going for Premier League-proven
01:40players at a high level. I think as well it's going to be interesting to see just what happens
01:44to Crystal Palace, because they were on such good run of form heading into the end of the
01:48campaign. Eliseo's gone to Bayern. Mark Gaye looks like he's about to go to Newcastle as
01:52well. Glasner is one of the most exciting managers in world football right now. What
01:56he has been building is something special, so it's going to be interesting to see what
02:00Palace can do if they go again.
02:02The team that I'm quite interested in to see this summer or this season is West Ham. I
02:07think they've made a couple of really interesting sign-ins. Obviously, they've switched manager
02:10from David Moyes to Lopetegui. I think Lopetegui's a great manager. He has a really fantastic
02:15CV and has done brilliant wherever he's been at. I like some of the sign-ins. I think Fulham
02:19Krupp has scored a lot of goals for West Ham. Somerville, there's a player who shone last
02:23season for Leeds as well. They haven't really lost any players. They've always, for the
02:28last five or six years, been certainly in the top half anyway, but they were obviously
02:32for a couple of years pushing into the top six as well. I think they'll have a good season
02:36as well. I'm interested to see how they get on.
02:38In terms of a player, I'm really interested to see how Archie Gray gets on. Two former
02:44Leeds players I mentioned there, but I think he's moved to Tottenham. I think he's a really,
02:48really outstanding young talent. It might take him a little while to settle in, but
02:53I think by the end of this season, we'll be talking about a really exciting young talent.
