FDJ-Suez were very active into the bottom of Côte de Fermont and it was Loes Adegeest who managed to escape the bunch. She made it to the top of the climb alone, averaging 22.3km/h on the ascent, however Silvia Persico accelerated from the peloton to add 1 point to her total.
