00:26But I feel like this has also become a breeding ground for other entities,
00:30other darker entities.

00:33so I'm sure this place has a lot in store.

00:35So I'm sort of interested to see what we find inside.
00:38And looking at it from out here in broad daylight,

00:42I've kept this one a little bit on the hush with Jared,

00:48Standing in a small town just outside of San Antonio, Texas
00:51is the Yorktown Memorial Hospital,
00:53an abandoned building that is claimed by many
00:54to be one of the most haunted places in America.
00:57Built in 1951, it was run by the Felician Sisters,
01:00a branch of the Roman Catholic Church.
01:02The hospital would close in 1986,
01:04being repurposed as a drug rehabilitation facility
01:06until being completely decommissioned in 1992.
01:10Though built to help people and save lives,
01:12the hospital sparked a reputation as having done the opposite,
01:14with local rumors of malpractice and even murder plaguing its operational years,
01:18only to follow with more dark energy once being repurposed.
01:21As far as paranormal reports go,
01:22there are countless,
01:23with many citing this to be the most haunted place in all of Texas.
01:26Seeing apparitions is common,
01:28ranging from nuns and priests to children and shadow people,
01:31but capturing them onto camera has also occurred.
01:34After our visit, investigators looked back at photos they took.
01:36One investigator caught this in a hallway she says she was alone in.
01:40It appears to be the full body apparition of a man and a woman.
01:43Visitors have heard noises that seem to indicate intelligent hauntings,
01:46though perhaps even residual activity dating back to the building's medical past.
01:49Footsteps have been documented,
01:51voices,
01:51aggressive EVPs,
01:53and sometimes even the eerie sound of children's toys.
02:08Stories of a murderous love triangle center around the basement spoiler room also exist.
02:12Allegedly, a nurse and a patient, though some retellings vary,
02:15became romantically involved in a secret love affair,
02:18and when this cheating was discovered by the nurse's boyfriend in the secrecy of the basement,
02:21he stabbed both the nurse, her lover, and then himself.
02:24The blood splatters of this horrific crime
02:26are said to still be etched onto the walls of the Yorktown Memorial Hospital.
02:29Maybe this crime is the reason for the black mists,
02:31temperature drops,
02:32and healings of being watched that seem to plague the basement.
02:34Yet another room beneath the hospital is also quite active,
02:37with many claiming to capture aggressive activity within the former priest's room.
02:40Upstairs on the top level of the building is the former nuns' quarters,
02:43where sightings are again common,
02:45but voices,
02:45singing,
02:46and playful behavior from children has also occurred.
02:48But perhaps the darkest of all places within the building is its church.
02:51A malevolent presence has been reported here,
02:53manifesting as a dark shadow standing tall amongst the pews,
02:56attacking some who enter,
02:58and claimed by many to be truly demonic.
