00:30Hey everyone, in this video, I'm going to be demoing the Evans EC Reverse Dot Snare
00:46Drum Head. Now, it's very important not to get this one confused with the EC-1 Reverse
00:51Dot Snare Drum Head. The difference between the EC and the EC-1 is the EC is a 2-ply head
00:58and the EC-1 is a 1-ply head, hence the EC-1. So, this is the EC Reverse Dot. It's an outer
01:06ply of 7mm film and an inner ply of 10mm film. Now, it has the sound shaping technology rings
01:14and the 5-inch patch on the underside of the drum head. So, you have lots of durability
01:20and you have really good response and attack with all the heads in the EC line. They have
01:26very good response, very good attack. So, this head would work great for a variety of
01:31different styles of music, whether you're playing rock, funk, jazz. It really works
01:35good for a variety of different tunings and I really, like I always say, just follow your
01:40ears. What sound do you like the best and what matches up best with the style of music
01:45that you play? So, what I'm going to do next is just play a little bit on the kick
01:49snare hi-hats to show you how it sounds in a more practical setting. Here we go.
