00:00The health department is trying harder to avoid the rise in the number of cases of leptospirosis in the country.

00:08In a program that has a large number of insiders,

00:10Health Secretary Ted Herbosa said that the DOH's target is to help the local governments

00:17so that the solid waste management in each community will be more effective.

00:23It is a big factor for the waste that is usually housed by rodents or rodent populations

00:30such as fish, in the spread of leptospirosis cases.

00:34It is also important for the DOH and DepEd to have a collaboration

00:39to start teaching in health literacy schools

00:52In the last report of the DOH,

00:55the number of cases of leptospirosis rose to 523 in the last three weeks,
