00:00Ladies and gentlemen, this is the American Nightmare, Cody Rhodes.
00:11We are on my home away from home, the tour bus.
00:16Today we are in Los Angeles, California, the city of angels.
00:20And today I have quite the guest, quite the guest, 14 time world champion, the youngest
00:29world champion in company history, my mentor in the industry, the legend killer, the viper.
00:38We could continue to have a bazillion positive platitudes about this next person.
00:42I am incredibly excited.
00:44Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome Randy Orton.
00:51What's going on, man?
00:52I appreciate that.
00:53Hey, cheers, man.
00:54Cheers.
00:55Cheers to you.
00:56Thanks for having me do this with you.
00:58Oh, no, this, you had to do it with you.
01:01So had to.
01:03The Wheatley crew, Wheatley American Vodka and myself, we like to call ourselves the
01:09American Dream Team.
01:11Let me ask you right out of the gate, if you were putting a team together, who is on Randy
01:16Orton's American Dream Team?
01:18Oh, gosh, what a question.
01:23I pride myself on being a good father and a good husband, and I think I would have to
01:31have my family there in my corner.
01:32That's a great idea.
01:33I got three dogs at home, too.
01:35They got to be there, too.
01:37So Spike, Harley, Max, Rob, Mike, Anthony, Alana, Brooklyn, and my fabulous wife, Kim
01:46would be there by my side.
01:48Cheers to family.
01:49Cheers to Kim.
01:50Hell yeah.
01:51Wow.
01:52I think we'd do all right.
01:55I would just keep Kim in there, and she would just do everything.
01:58She's a badass.
01:59Well, you said you're a father, husband first.
02:04You're also notoriously on the list of wife guys.
02:10Once you're in the wife guy column, you, myself, Seth Rollins, Miz, that's a good column to
02:19be in.
02:20I never thought about it like that.
02:24When I was younger, I wasn't in the wife column, and it was a different way of going about
02:30my day, let's just say.
02:31I'm very happy to be in that column.
02:35I'm blessed, man.
02:36I really am.
02:37I feel funny that I've said this, and now if you're not on the list of people I just
02:41said, it doesn't mean you're not.
02:42It's not what I meant.
02:43It's just there's guys that you know more as like, oh, you might see Kim, you might
02:51see Maurice, you might see Brandy, whatever it might be.
02:53Yeah, Owens.
02:54Owens.
02:55He's a big time.
02:56Big, great.
02:57Big family guy.
02:58Yes.
02:59My gosh.
03:00Yes.
03:01If I know a man is great to his children, and especially, I got a soft spot for daughters.
03:06If I know a man is, or if I see, who did I see?
03:09I saw Champa with his daughter, Willow, today.
03:11Unbelievable.
03:13Just seeing a man with his daughter, that relationship, like, I love my sons, but there's
03:19something special about a daughter, being a father and having a daughter.
03:24Yeah.
03:25No.
03:26I know that if-
03:27As you know.
03:28Yeah.
03:29Well, if Brandy and I were going to ever have a second, whatever, then that's not something
03:33that's happening, but if it was-
03:35Well, you don't know that.
03:37I don't know that.
03:38I don't know that.
03:39Let me tell you.
03:40If that were to happen, the next thing you know, honey, I'm pregnant.
03:43Yeah.
03:44Like, you don't necessarily plan for these things, bro.
03:46I would be ecstatic if I found out it was another little girl.
03:49Yeah.
03:50Because that's just a whole-
03:51Yeah.
03:52Oh my gosh.
03:53Yeah.
03:54Like, level of-
03:55Yeah.
03:56There's just a thing.
03:57Yeah.
03:58You sent me a Christmas card.
03:59Yeah.
04:00The-
04:01I'm trying to remember.
04:02Is that the one where we're all wearing gold chains like gangsters?
04:04Yes.
04:05It looks like you're-
04:06It looks like-
04:07It's such a good photo.
04:08Everybody's like-
04:09It's such a good photo, but you get-
04:13But-
04:14Wait a minute.
04:15It's such a good photo, but-
04:16I remember looking at it and thinking, like, they look like a band.
04:19Like, they're about to put out a-
04:21They're about to put out a-
04:22Well, that's my wife.
04:23She's like, okay, I want you here.
04:24I want you-
04:25Okay, you look up into the distance.
04:26I need you here.
04:27No, turn a little bit to your left.
04:29You a little bit to your right.
04:30All right.
04:31Brooklyn.
04:32All right.
04:33Do this.
04:34Randy, sit there.
04:35Okay, fine.
04:36Whatever you want.
04:37Oh, man.
04:38Yeah.
04:39If I'm going to get a Christmas card, I want it to look like that.
04:42That's the standard deal, which all Christmas cards are held.
04:44Pretty gangsta.
04:45All black shirts.
04:46Yes.
04:47I think it was gold chains.
04:48We all had gold chains.
04:49Oh, my gosh.
04:50Yeah, the Cuban link.
04:51I just got, so when the boys, when they had their birthday, I got them all a Cuban link
04:56chain.
04:57Yeah.
04:58Sterling silver.
05:00Those things are expensive.
05:01Yeah, of course.
05:02But I got the yellow gold one for myself, and I've worn it.
05:04I've worn it-
05:05Yeah.
05:06Yeah.
05:07Dude, you see me in it all the time.
05:09I had to have it for some crazy-ass reason, and I wore it for that Christmas card, and
05:14then I wore it to the Hall of Fame.
05:16And I was so, I guess, embarrassed to be wearing a gold chain that I tucked it under my shirt
05:24so no one could see it.
05:25And Wale was there, and he saw a glint on the side, and he pulled it out.
05:31He's like, man, you got to show your chain.
05:32Yeah.
05:33So for the rest of the Hall of Fame, I'm wearing my suit, my gentleman's playbook suit, which
05:37homie makes a great suit.
05:40Oh, shout out to that.
05:41Gentleman's playbook?
05:42Yeah, he's good to go.
05:43He's good to go.
05:44Oh, I love a good-
05:45Yeah.
05:46Somebody puts something good together.
05:47So quick little story.
05:48Yeah.
05:49I'm sitting at the Hall of Fame.
05:50We're about to go live.
05:51Paul's about to go on first.
05:52Yeah.
05:53And I sent him a quick shot of me and my wife just so that he could see what it looked like.
05:57Yeah.
05:58Because I'll be like, hey, does this work?
05:59Does this work?
06:00Yeah.
06:01Because I don't know.
06:02And I was like, hey, man, this chain, it's out of nowhere.
06:07I'm wearing this chain, right?
06:09Does this work?
06:10And he's like, oh yeah, it works.
06:11He tweeted the picture.
06:12Ah, that was, I gotcha.
06:15Well, from the get-go, I'm talking like 2018, 19, he started making my suits.
06:19Yeah.
06:20And he was like, hey, let's do a social media thing, take a picture, I'll take 500 bucks
06:24off the suit.
06:25And I'm like, no way.
06:26I'd rather pay you.
06:27I'd rather pay you and let's not do that.
06:31He tweeted the picture.
06:32I took just a little, the candid shot, not a great angle, like just, hey, does this work?
06:38He tweeted it.
06:39I couldn't believe it.
06:40But anyway.
06:41Did you get a free suit out of it?
06:42No.
06:43But next year, if this makes the cut, I better.
06:47Yeah, no.
06:48I mean, if you want it in there.
06:51You mentioned the Hall of Fame, and this was such a fun moment.
06:54The Hall of Fame this year for me was just surreal on a lot of levels.
06:59Rock is talking about something and then decides to turn and start cutting a promo
07:05on me.
07:06And this is The Rock.
07:08And do I stand up?
07:10I stood up.
07:12Now when do I sit down?
07:13Also, Brandi refused to stand up for him.
07:15You know, everybody stands up.
07:17She refused him.
07:18You're the only one.
07:19Yeah.
07:20Oh, God.
07:21Oh, that's great.
07:22The heat.
07:23Yeah, yeah, yeah.
07:24Which is her personality.
07:25Brandi's going to do what Brandi's going to do.
07:26Exactly.
07:27Just like Kim's going to do what she's going to do.
07:28And you know what?
07:29I'm going to stay right here, honey.
07:30Very ride or die.
07:31You want to stay right there?
07:32That's fine.
07:33But Paul Heyman, Mr. Heyman, he had a very unique line in his Hall of Fame speech.
07:38And you literally, the whole front row of us, you turned to me and Hunter.
07:45I think we both gave Hunter a look like.
07:48It was one of those, this is what, and to be fair, Philadelphia, Paul Heyman.
07:55Sure, sure, sure.
07:56If anybody can say that specific sentence in that moment, it's him.
08:01We're in Philly, the birthplace of ECW, right?
08:05And it worked.
08:08It's what it needed to be.
08:09He wanted to go on first.
08:11He's so smart.
08:13He's a super genius.
08:14He's so smart.
08:16He used to, he talks about, you'll hear him talk about Dusty and a few other people where
08:21they refer to themselves as super geniuses.
08:24He genuinely checks the box for the super genius.
08:27It's like he sees where the puck is going at all times.
08:30He knows where to be.
08:33Shout out to Mr. Heyman and his line.
08:38So we're talking about the Hall of Fame.
08:39This is a perfect, perfect time for me to ask you.
08:44You are more than like, you're aware now, right?
08:49I feel you're aware that your level of influence, your legacy, your career is demanding of a
08:57first ballot Hall of Famer run.
09:00Like if you told them today, hey, I want to be eligible for the Hall of Fame, you would
09:04go into the Hall of Fame.
09:05With that in mind, who would induct you?
09:07Oh my God.
09:08You got to really think on it too.
09:10This is...
09:11No, I've thought about it.
09:12Yeah?
09:13Yeah.
09:14So, well, first off, like, so Mysterio went in, but he was active.
09:23Yeah.
09:24Like, and that was, that was cool.
09:25It was different.
09:26I think we were in somewhere downside LA.
09:29It was 39.
09:30He went in for...
09:31Where were we?
09:32We were at Crypto Arena, Los Angeles.
09:35Okay.
09:36Yeah.
09:37Los Angeles.
09:38Same place right now.
09:39Right now.
09:40So it kind of made sense for a lot of reasons.
09:42I mean, he's from that area, but like, it just, it, the fact that he was still active
09:47and he had to show up to work the next day and, and, and, and, and I feel like if I'm
09:53lucky enough to be in the Hall of Fame, I would want it to be when things are settled
10:00and over.
10:01It's done.
10:02Yeah.
10:03Yeah.
10:04No more, no priorities.
10:05You hit that.
10:06Yeah.
10:07Yeah.
10:08I feel like, I feel like that's how it has to come about.
10:09But as far as, gosh, I almost even don't want to say, because I feel like he'd hear
10:15this and then feel obligated, but like maybe John.
10:22So I was going to go ahead and say, I have a guess.
10:25Yeah.
10:26John.
10:27And so there's a few reasons.
10:29Selfishly, because I know that he would knock it out of the park.
10:33Oh my gosh.
10:34Yeah.
10:35But, uh, you know, just like he's done, you know, he's done a few inductions and he's,
10:41you know, uh, refrigerator, Perry, the football player.
10:45Yeah.
10:46Yeah.
10:47He did.
10:48I remember just being, and I don't really follow sports.
10:51I wasn't aware of who that man was, but, you know, afterwards he was in the WrestleMania
10:55two battle Royal.
10:56Yeah.
10:57Yeah.
10:58Yeah.
10:59Uh, and he's in our Hall of Fame now.
11:01Uh, well, Sina inducted him and just sitting there and watching.
11:05Just do what he does.
11:06Like I was just completely captivated.
11:08I know John could do me better justice than just about anybody because John's John.
11:13Um, of course there's, there's other candidates, uh, but I, I feel like John would be at the
11:19top of my list, but I, I almost hate even saying it out loud cause he's, I can't imagine
11:25how busy that dude is with everything he's got going on.
11:30Um, you know, I, I have a tendency to sell myself.
11:35And I, and I feel like, you know, maybe, maybe he would love to do it, you know, but, but
11:40I just, it's, I don't know that I could, uh, ask him, you know what I'm saying?
11:46Um, and I almost don't even want to think about it until, until we get into, until that
11:50time comes.
11:51If it comes, you know, John, uh, I feel like history when we look at John and we look at
11:59you cause I came right up in the thick of it.
12:02Oh yeah.
12:03Live event, live event, main event, John Cena, Randy Orton going into the interval, going
12:09into intermission, Umaga versus Jeff Hardy.
12:12It was the show you wanted to be on because you knew, Hey, if I suck, these guys got it.
12:21Like if I suck and the rest of the matches, we were filled with blind spots at the time
12:27because we had these anchor moments and you versus John is particularly a big part of
12:34that era.
12:35And then you hear people clamoring for the potential John match now as he's going to
12:39wind down.
12:42But I feel like more than ever I could be, and this is a guess, but I feel like more
12:47than ever, John has an incredible appreciation for you because as you guys are coming up,
12:54you're at odds, even though you, you don't need to be at odds, but you are, you're competing
12:58behind the scenes, you're competing on the scene, the whole thing.
13:02And I think now looking at where you're at and how you're, you're handling being the
13:09locker room leader, handling being the most mature man in the room, the handling being
13:16the person you would go to to go, Hey, what is this?
13:19No, but it's the truth.
13:20Like I told, so I told Kim this in gorilla position, you were doing a dark match.
13:26I know it was you versus Gunther.
13:28And I remember telling her, I was like, I don't know if he'd like to hear this, but
13:33that was the way I felt about Undertaker in like 2007 and eight.
13:41And where it was like, gosh, watch it.
13:43It's like watching this Jedi master do stuff.
13:47And he didn't, you know, you, you've taken for granted and then you don't know how long
13:50you have.
13:51But all that said, I feel like you don't even have to ask John.
13:54I feel like it's, it's there now, but, but even that's like the positive.
14:00That's a John Cena could induct you potentially in the hall of fame, but John's winding his
14:04career down.
14:05Right.
14:06Are we okay to ask?
14:07Like you'd like to step in there with him one more time?
14:10A hundred percent.
14:11Funny story last week.
14:14So I saw John before he went in and did his speech, his retirement speech there.
14:24And I hadn't seen him in a while, so it was kind of as, I didn't know he was going to
14:27be there.
14:28I said, Oh, Hey John.
14:29Oh my God.
14:30Hey, what's up?
14:31We caught up for like 10 minutes.
14:32And towards the end of the conversation, I was like, Hey, you know, like, what do you
14:37think?
14:38Yeah.
14:39You know, like, and I had no idea that he was going to like, well, what do you say between
14:4430 and 40 dates?
14:45The sex mania is his last mania, all that stuff.
14:48And so I had no idea, like, for all I know, he's going to be around like me for as long
14:52as his body will permit him to, but of course he's got other things going on and this is
14:57my life.
14:58So I, I hats off to him doing the Hollywood thing.
15:02Like if I could, I would, but I've got other priorities, you know, um, that takes a lot
15:08and I don't think I have it to give.
15:10But, um, I said, you know, what do you think?
15:15And he was like, Randy, you know, I've never pitched anything.
15:18Like I always do my best with whatever they give me.
15:21And I, I'm like, man, that's, that's me.
15:24I've never, I've never had a pitch.
15:26I've never like set myself up to be let down and never like, Hey, Hey writers, here's a
15:31six page, you know, a storyboard of everything I want to do for the next six months.
15:37Not once, not once.
15:39And I've always been very fortunate and, and, and, and they give me what they give
15:44me and I do the best I can with it.
15:46And that's kind of what he does.
15:47Yeah.
15:48So when I brought it up to him, like I felt kind of like a mark, like, like, Hey, do you
15:53want to do one more?
15:54You know?
15:55And he, he just, he shut it down right away and said, you know, if creative comes up with
16:00it and then we'll do it kind of thing.
16:02And I said, well, so what do you, what's your speech about?
16:05And he's like, uh, wait and see.
16:08And it's like, typical, typical John, you know, watch the show to see what I have to
16:14say.
16:15I'm retiring.
16:16You buffoon.
16:17It's like, Oh, like I had no idea, but, um, I would love to work with the man and have
16:25a couple TVs, you know, or more to set it up and really like make something special
16:30of it.
16:31Uh, because no matter, you know, how much we faced each other back in the day, you know,
16:37it was almost to the point where people were sick of it.
16:39When people look back and think about it, they're like, Oh, Orton Sina.
16:43Wow.
16:44It was this amazing, you know, rivalry and, and, um, so to have that callback, that nostalgia
16:51concept and to do it for the fans who I feel like they'd appreciate it.
16:56And we can go out there and have some fun and, and, and tear the place down.
17:01And I would love to do that, but I guess, uh, according to John, we're just gonna let
17:05it, you know, if it organically happens, uh, it'll happen.
17:10And, and, but I think it'll happen.
17:12Well, I think it's in the cards.
17:14You said, you know, you guys have this history, more than the history though, as far as, okay.
17:20So coming up at the time, Santino Marella, myself, Beth Phoenix, Zack Ryder, Rawl was
17:29flush, Kofi Kingston, Jack Swagger, Miz, I could keep going.
17:34Rawl was flush with people who, ah, they got a thing, but they don't, they're not there.
17:41Even, do you remember Kerwin from our production?
17:43Sure.
17:44Of course you remember Kerwin.
17:45Sure, sure.
17:46One night Kerwin got super red wine drunk at the bar and it was a random night that
17:49I happened to be there.
17:50And I remember him telling me, he's like, man, Cody, you have like the mind, you just
17:55don't have anything else.
17:56And I thought, Oh my God, like, geez, but he wasn't entirely wrong.
18:03It was a matter of like growing, building, growing, building.
18:06He wasn't entirely wrong.
18:07Well, you were talking about maturity earlier with me.
18:10And even though I would never look in the mirror and say, you're mature, you know, I
18:13would never consider myself mature, but you've matured.
18:18You've come such a long way and the things you've done, no one has ever done.
18:22Well, so Hunter, what he said about punk is what I always kind of stand by.
18:26It's like, Hey, if you're the same as you were seven years ago, that's a bad thing.
18:32But back to what I was saying, it was flush with people who had a thing and were looking
18:39for it and trying to be a WWE superstar, which was such a big thing at the time.
18:43But the show was really just you and Jon.
18:48So I feel like it's whether you say it, whether he says it, whether the world's already saying
18:53it, you're on social media, you know, the world's already saying it.
19:00So, you know, maybe it is a see where the cards are.
19:05Enough about Jon.
19:07Talked enough about Jon.
19:08He's the best.
19:09He's the best.
19:11That crazy, weird mother.
19:13Yeah.
19:14I love him to death.
19:15I love him to death.
19:17Enough about Jon.
19:18And here I go.
19:19But like, what is it?
19:22It's not Peacemaker.
19:23Peacekeeper.
19:24Peacemaker.
19:25Peacemaker.
19:26Right.
19:27Wow.
19:28What a role for that dude.
19:29That's him.
19:30That's him.
19:31And so I feel like he ad-libbed that entire series.
19:33Like he is Peacemaker.
19:36James Gunn and him have a really good bit because I think James Gunn got him.
19:41Yeah.
19:42Got him.
19:43And if you can get him, oh my gosh.
19:44Oh, yeah.
19:45Run with it.
19:46Yeah.
19:47Because he survived the kind of DC change.
19:49Right.
19:50It's changing now.
19:51Sure.
19:52And he survived it.
19:53And then not only that.
19:54I had texted him.
19:55I was like, Mortal Kombat?
19:56Yeah, me too.
19:57Mortal Kombat?
19:58I shot him a text.
20:00I shot him a text too.
20:01Like I don't even know because he's not, he doesn't, you know, I don't know if you're
20:04still a gamer.
20:05Yeah.
20:06I'm sick of your shit about being a gamer.
20:07Yeah.
20:08That's you now.
20:09Elden Ring.
20:10Oh, I love Elden Ring.
20:11Putting your time in.
20:12Oh, I've got, I've got so, I've got like, I almost don't even want to say.
20:15I'm at like, and now keep in mind, this game came out this February.
20:22And in six months, seven, eight months, whatever February is, it'll be like three years since
20:26it came out.
20:29And also, let me preface this next statement with saying that I was out with spinal fusion
20:34surgery.
20:35So I had a lot of time on my hands.
20:36Sure.
20:37I've got like 600 hours on the game.
20:40600 hours on Elden Ring.
20:43Yeah.
20:44Um.
20:45Yeah.
20:46I love that game.
20:47The DLC just came out.
20:49Here's how far things have come.
20:50Yeah.
20:51You asked me something about Elden Ring the other day and I didn't lie to your face, but
20:55I just kind of went like, yeah.
20:57You mentioned you're playing and I was like, I'm, I'm not really, you know, like I didn't
21:03know.
21:04You don't got the time.
21:05You're doing, you're, dude, you're, you're killing it and you don't got the time.
21:10And I understand why.
21:11I would love to chop it up about some Elden Ring with you.
21:14Trust me.
21:15I wish I knew more about it.
21:16I wish you were a fellow Tarnished, but you're not.
21:20So Tarnished.
21:21Is that the vernacular?
21:24It's a thing.
21:25It's a thing.
21:26Wow.
21:27I'll tell you what, brother, I get lost in it.
21:29The kids go to sleep.
21:30I'll give my wife the iPad and say, hey, buy stuff on Amazon and then I'll just, I'll just
21:35play.
21:36Yeah.
21:37Yeah.
21:38Oh God.
21:39It's like Christmas every day at my house.
21:40Cheers.
21:41Oh my God.
21:42The Amazon guy is all ding dong, you know, hey Jim, you know, stack of boxes, but, but
21:49she's, she's, she can find a deal anywhere.
21:53She's great.
21:54She's, she's great.
21:55She always gets the deals.
21:56But yeah, she, she buys shit while I play Elden Ring and it's a good, we were meant
22:01for each other.
22:02Oh, no doubt.
22:04I had like, so I was away from WB at the time and I started hearing these stories about,
22:10you know, Randy's changed and I thought like, no, you don't change Randy.
22:16That's, that's not, is he not, you know, blowing dynamite up in the lobby anymore?
22:21Is he not?
22:22What is it?
22:23What do you mean he's changed?
22:24Were you there in Mexico?
22:25Oh Jesus.
22:26I was there for, uh, I'd say my favorite and the game.
22:29The Federales were after me, Paul London and Brian Kendrick and we, we jumped in a taxi.
22:35We jumped in a taxi.
22:36Of course.
22:37Oh my God.
22:39And I had ditched the last, there were quarter sticks of dynamite and you could buy it down
22:44there in Tijuana.
22:45I know.
22:46I ditched the last stick under the bus that was taking us to the venue the next day.
22:52And uh, we jumped in the taxi and we were followed the entire time by the Federales.
22:56Now Paul London spoke a little bit of Spanish, so he was like, guys, guys, like the cops
23:02are following us.
23:03And he talked to the driver and you know, he's saying, you know, take them here, take
23:07them here.
23:08And I was dying.
23:09Looking back now, he could have been just really ribbing the hell out of us.
23:13Yeah, it could have been.
23:14Yeah.
23:15But uh, but I ended up, we ended up making it back and the next day we're like loading
23:18the buses up and I'm like, I look under the bus, quarter sticks right there.
23:24And I'm like, Oh, save that for later.
23:26And I think that's the one that blew up in the atrium of the hotel.
23:30You, this is such a deep cut here, but Paul London, cause you're bringing them up.
23:35I, some, some of the things you discover when you do independent wrestling, you discover
23:41some beautiful things in terms of, Oh man, such a great athlete and gosh, I bet I'll
23:46see him one day on, you know, national TV, whatever it is.
23:51One show, I didn't really look at the card and somebody had told me earlier, like Paul
23:55London's here.
23:56He's wrestling right before you.
23:57And I thought, Oh man, Paul London's super talented.
23:59That'll cool.
24:01I didn't realize his independent, uh, bit that he did his gimmick was he sang, Oh wow.
24:07So he was in like a full body suit and he sang a song for an entrance and this was at
24:13a small building and maybe 90 people.
24:16And I just thought like, what am I?
24:19When you say bodysuit, what do you mean?
24:21It was like a gray full bodysuit, like a putty guy from the power Rangers, but his head was
24:26still exposed.
24:27Are you talking about like the GIMP from Pulp Fiction?
24:30I mean, that's another way to put it, but it wasn't as sexual as the GIMP from Pulp
24:34Fiction.
24:35But I remember it was still like, he went out and had a great match as well.
24:38I remember thinking like, Oh, well, Paul's amazing.
24:40They're all just exchanging like false finishes and like cracking each other in the jaw.
24:45Oh my gosh.
24:46Yeah, no.
24:47You see some wild stuff.
24:48Oh, London.
24:49God.
24:50So like, do you know that when I was out upon that scene, I had more questions about you
24:57than anybody else.
24:59More questions about like, what was it?
25:02What was Randy like?
25:03Well, how did Randy deal with this?
25:05Is this true?
25:06More questions about you to the point where I've now taken my Randy stories and I keep
25:12them inside.
25:13You've got to keep some of them inside.
25:14I shared a few of them and I'm thinking, ah, you didn't get it.
25:17You didn't get the content.
25:18You didn't understand it.
25:19Yeah.
25:20You might need to keep those stories.
25:21I try to keep them inside.
25:22Wait until I retire to say them.
25:25Oh yeah.
25:26No, no.
25:27I'm ready to go on a whole tirade about everything.
25:31All that.
25:32Yeah.
25:33We're far off from where I was going to ask you.
25:36We talked about this, that, and this, that.
25:39You have a lot of public mentors in the industry, like public in terms of they were on screen,
25:46they were with you at your side.
25:47This is a very, I guess, random question.
25:50Are there any mentors that we don't know about who are off screen?
25:55Are the ones we see on screen really, truly the guys who kind of shaped and molded the
25:59character that is Randy Orton today?
26:04Gosh.
26:07I hate to disappoint you, so I'm searching for an answer.
26:11No, no.
26:12I think, I think you know them all.
26:14Yeah.
26:15I really do.
26:16Obviously, my father and Hunter and Rick, but like, and I told John this the other day
26:24when we spoke, like I was saying, I learned a lot from him.
26:27I kind of learned from John.
26:31It's so weird saying it after, you know, you know how many people I was in the ring
26:36with that, you know, like the Takers, Shons, Triple Hs, Ric Flairs, but I think I learned
26:43from John to calm down, listen to the people, and you don't have to go in there with a bunch
26:52of stuff memorized.
26:55You can literally just do something.
26:58It doesn't have to be rocket science.
27:00We make it harder than it needs to be.
27:02Oh my gosh.
27:03You're looking for a reaction, so it doesn't have to be a this, that, the other, something,
27:07something, something, something, something.
27:09It can just be a grab a hold, they start to come, hit the ropes, the bad guy takes the
27:18head off the good guy, he goes down, the bad guy scowls and looks at the people, the good
27:24guy knows his role, and in that moment stays down and acts like he just got decapitated,
27:30and then you put that hold back on, and you just wait, and you get him to come again,
27:35and then you eventually get to where he flips, turns the tables, and you know what I mean?
27:40Like, it's just, he really had a way of making me realize, and maybe it was because we were
27:46close in age, we had come up together, I think, even though, like, you know, I trusted Triple
27:51H, Ric Flair, and all those guys, but I think just the camaraderie between me and John,
27:57like, being cool, like, I know that, I don't know that those guys at that time respected
28:03me, I think John respected me, and I think he respected me for certain things I was capable
28:10of doing in the ring, and just feeling that respect from him made me, like, have this
28:18trust for him, and I could trust him to lead the way, and I could trust him that anything
28:24he's telling me, it's, like, it's gold, and it's, he's telling me how he does it, and
28:30this is, like, a look into how he's able to go about a match, go about listening to people,
28:38go about making decisions depending on what the people are doing.
28:43All about the people.
28:44All about the people.
28:45Yeah, yeah, it really is.
28:47They're completely, like, just as much a part of the show as you are.
28:51I mean, if they're not, if they're not involved, then, you know, you're not doing your job,
28:57you know what I mean?
28:58From a mentor perspective, it took a while in terms of seeing, like, oh, he was a mentor,
29:04she was a mentor, whatever it was.
29:06Sure.
29:07It took a while for me to realize I'm very, I'm very much a product of three people.
29:12You, my first match in WWE, and someone who not just took my first match, was like, hey,
29:19drive me, hang out, you know what I'm saying?
29:22Like, hang out with me.
29:23So my first match in WWE, Triple H.
29:26Yeah.
29:27Who, the biggest, like, first rivalry I had, we started talking stuff that I'd never even
29:34considered or thought about, and he was saying things that now, today, I'm like, ah.
29:39Another genius.
29:40Super genius, for sure.
29:41Yeah, another, yeah.
29:42And then, and then John, who, when I wasn't riding with you, I was driving John around.
29:47This was during his Cowboy John phase.
29:49I remember that.
29:50Sure, and, and I didn't, none of it, all, the whole time I was doing it, I was, I'm
29:54having a good time.
29:55Yeah, you don't realize.
29:56You don't realize, like, that's what the mentor was.
29:59Sure.
30:00You know, you have your obvious mentors, like your father.
30:02Right.
30:03Like, I had my dad, like, we had our obvious mentors.
30:05Of course.
30:06You have people that, when you hear it from them, ooh.
30:09Right.
30:10That's.
30:11Right.
30:12Like, for example, I remember Sacramento, California.
30:14I beat up Ray Mysterio, and I don't know why, but you had heard about what we were doing
30:21that night, and you told me, you're like, oh, man, just, it's all you.
30:26It's all you.
30:27Believe in everything you're doing.
30:29He's gonna just be there.
30:30You just keep hitting him.
30:32Do this.
30:33If you feel like you're right, look at the crowd.
30:36I mean, you just.
30:37Yeah.
30:38And I legitimately, as I'm doing this, this was a kind of, for me, a turning point segment.
30:44Shook hands with my dad, and my dad held his hand, and I popped him from behind.
30:48I had the mask at the time.
30:50Goodness.
30:51And I was thinking about you as it was happening, and I'm thinking, man, like.
30:59Yeah.
31:00He was right, you know.
31:01Yeah.
31:0214 times.
31:04Top of the mountain, 14 times.
31:08What's weird is, so someone on social media put together a clip that showed all the victories
31:15for those titles, those 14 titles, and I watched it, and I just, talk about a trip down memory
31:22lane.
31:23Yeah.
31:24Oh, my God.
31:26following the person, because I was just so impressed, and gosh, like humbled.
31:34This person took the time to put this together about me, and the history of my career, and
31:40spanning over, I mean, I won the IC title in 03, so I mean, you know, 20 years.
31:50The oval belt you had.
31:5220 plus years.
31:54And just seeing like it take place, and it's like, oh, I didn't remember that.
32:01Oh, that's right.
32:03You know, in 2010, I was like a, you know, whatever it was, six, seven, eight time champ,
32:08and I'm like, well then, where did the other five or six come from, you know, and then
32:12I'm watching, and it's like, man, they just, they add up, and it's 14.
32:20Like, it's insane to look back and think, like everything I've done, it's just been
32:27so long, Cody.
32:28I, you know, somebody was giving me some statistics.
32:33Yeah.
32:34And so I've officially, Kane had wrestled the most pay-per-views, or we call them PLEs
32:40now.
32:41Yeah.
32:42I'm so old school, I can't stop calling them pay-per-views.
32:45Pay-per-views, yeah, yeah.
32:46I can't stop calling them pay-per-views.
32:48So Kane had wrestled the most pay-per-views in the company, and it was like 172 or thereabouts,
32:56and so I surpassed him like six months ago, and so in the entire history of the WWE, I've
33:05been on more PLEs or pay-per-views than anybody else, and it's like, that's what I'm here
33:14for, is those kind of statistics.
33:16Like, I don't need...
33:17We can't deny those.
33:19Yeah, yeah.
33:20It's just, it's time.
33:22It's just putting in the work, putting in the work.
33:25Consistency, consistency.
33:27Yeah, you get some downtime, you get injured, you get suspended once, twice, three times,
33:33whatever.
33:34You come back and you just keep doing it, and you do it, and you do it, and just that
33:39statistic right there, like, it means a lot to me.
33:44And the 14-time World Heavyweight Champion, like, knowing that I've held that title 14
33:50times, or those titles, I should say, 14 times, cumulatively, that means a lot to me, you
33:59know?
34:00And like, this is my life.
34:04Father, husband, first and foremost, but like, this is right there.
34:10And I don't, you know, like, so I do auditions here and there.
34:15Yeah.
34:16And like, I remember I got an audition early on when I finally got some representation
34:21in that industry, and I think Deadpool 2?
34:26Cable.
34:27Cable.
34:28I read for Cable, and in my head, boy, I was gonna be Cable.
34:32Yeah.
34:33I was gonna be Cable.
34:35And I was like, hmm, this is it.
34:37Nope.
34:38No callback, no nothing.
34:39Yeah, thanks.
34:40You know, Josh Brolin gets it.
34:42Of course Josh Brolin gets it.
34:44Right, right.
34:45Kills it.
34:46You know, I don't know what the fuck I'm doing.
34:47That's a great job.
34:48And I think I kind of realized then, like, oh, okay, so I can send in these auditions,
34:52but I'm a pro wrestler, you know?
34:55And I just, I think I really enjoy being a pro wrestler and everything that it's given
35:01me, and I don't think I'll ever leave this place.
35:08Cheers.
35:09Yeah.
35:10Cheers to that.
35:11Hey, Cody, I'm happy about that.
35:14I really am.
35:15Of course.
35:16I feel lucky.
35:17Like, my wife talks about, like, you're in the bubble, you're in the bubble.
35:21Like, yeah, I like it.
35:22I like it.
35:23I like the bubble.
35:24The bubble.
35:25I don't have any friends at home.
35:27When I was out for 18 months, this is what I was gonna say, when I was out for 18 months,
35:31like, I went through like a little bit of a depression.
35:34Of course, you're away from that.
35:35Yeah.
35:36Like, I was, I was, like, depressed.
35:39And, like, I have my family, I have my kids, like, I'm smiling when I see my kids and doing
35:45stuff and I'm with my dogs and everything's great, but I was missing something.
35:49Were you eating a lot of Nutella?
35:52So I'd never even, this is a small, I'd never even heard of Nutella.
35:58I don't know what I was thinking.
36:00He brought it up on a tour not, what, like, six months ago.
36:06I stole a bottle of Nutella from catering and consumed the entire thing before my match
36:13with Gunther and probably gained, like, nine pounds that night.
36:17You were full.
36:18Yeah.
36:19Oh, I was, I was sugared up to the gills.
36:21Yeah.
36:22I want a Nutella deal.
36:24You've got the Wheatley American Vodka deal.
36:26I want a Nutella deal.
36:27I want a Nutella deal.
36:28So I've been consuming a lot of Nutella, hence the 290 pounds.
36:32See those traps?
36:33That's Nutella, bro.
36:34I cannot see it.
36:36That's, that's because I'm wearing a tank.
36:38Traps provided by Nutella.
36:40I would, traps provided by Nutella.
36:42Yeah.
36:43I wish I would have known that there was a dress code for this interview.
36:46There is no dress code.
36:47I feel like we're going to church.
36:49I feel like I'm going to get yelled at.
36:50Yeah.
36:51I feel like you're always in a suit.
36:52How are you not sweating?
36:53A lot of people hate that I'm in a suit.
36:54You just turned off your air conditioning.
36:56Yeah.
36:57Because of the sound.
36:58You want to know the secret?
36:59No, I don't.
37:00I don't move that much.
37:02That's the secret.
37:03I rode a camel in Egypt in a full suit.
37:05I don't believe you.
37:06I just don't move that much.
37:08I try to keep, I can't.
37:09Do I, so I'm burning up.
37:11Do I move a lot?
37:13Yeah.
37:14You have big dynamic motion.
37:15You're kind of always, you might as well be doing this thing.
37:18You know, you're doing a lot.
37:19Do I want my shoulder out?
37:21So, okay, 14th Am World.
37:23You're moving right now.
37:2414th Am World.
37:25Okay, better.
37:26Conversation going around about the goat.
37:29Greatest of all time, right?
37:31It's what we call John, greatest of all time,
37:33but there's a goat conversation, just like in all sports.
37:36They talk about LeBron, Michael, all the different things.
37:40And the stats.
37:42Of LeBron.
37:43Okay.
37:44Yeah.
37:45All right, we're hot.
37:46We're off hot.
37:47Yeah.
37:48How do you feel knowing you're in that conversation?
37:51So, I think, like, what are we doing this for?
37:55Like, yeah, we enjoy it, right?
37:57Yeah.
37:58Like, the fans are just as big, just as much, I should say,
38:03as part of the show as we are.
38:05Yep.
38:06I can't take the credit.
38:10I don't think there is a goat.
38:12I don't think that there is a, you know,
38:17I don't think that there is a goat.
38:20Single goat, yeah.
38:21I like the Mount Rushmore.
38:23I like, you know, who's your Mount Rushmore?
38:25I like, you know, who's your top five, top ten.
38:28Yeah.
38:29Even top 20.
38:30But the goat, I don't think he exists.
38:33Now, for each individual fan who's just as much part of the show as we are,
38:38they have their own perspective.
38:40Yeah.
38:41And it's subjective to how they feel, what that talent makes them feel.
38:46So, I think that there's a hundred goats.
38:50There's 150, 200, 250 goats.
38:53I don't think there's a goat.
38:54I love this answer.
38:55Yeah, I'm sorry.
38:57In professional wrestling, there's not a goat.
39:00It's, who's your goat?
39:02So, who's my goat?
39:03Yeah, who's yours?
39:04You could ask me that.
39:05Yeah.
39:09Yeah, I can't answer.
39:10You don't have your goat?
39:11I can't answer.
39:12Greatest of all time.
39:14To me, my father was one of the best, like, back in his era,
39:20one of the best in his era as far as, like, making guys look good.
39:24Selling.
39:25To me, a guy who sells better than everybody else is a goat.
39:29Now, he's making the guy who's the goat look good.
39:32Who's really the goat.
39:34Who's really the goat.
39:35Yeah.
39:36You know what I mean?
39:37So, like, the whole goat talk, you know.
39:39You're in the conversation, right?
39:42And that's, I feel like, for you, maybe that's uncomfortable because you,
39:46for all the things that the legend killer and Randy and all this,
39:51actually incredibly grounded, kind, humble, aware,
39:59which is probably the one attribute most wrestlers never get to,
40:04is awareness of, like, how over am I?
40:09How over is he?
40:12What can I do?
40:13And when you're aware.
40:14We need a psychiatrist here, brother.
40:16Oh, my gosh.
40:17Not a bad idea.
40:18It would be remiss of me because I feel like I had a bazillion questions.
40:25Ask some more.
40:26I got a few out.
40:28But I do need you to know.
40:31I know.
40:33You don't even have to say it.
40:35No.
40:36It's important to say it.
40:38I get to be here because of you, you know?
40:42And I remember very vividly almost everything from Legacy.
40:51And there was a good side of Legacy, which was you.
40:56And you had plenty of things going on in your life at the time.
41:01I remember the first thing you did was bring us into the stands.
41:04The first thing you did was bring us into the stands to have a conversation with us
41:08about what you wanted it to be.
41:11And, man, I was taking this real serious.
41:14Like, we got to take this serious too.
41:17Oh, my gosh.
41:18Because, I mean, nine months before that, I had a picture of you on my wall in my room.
41:24Like, ah, there's a second generation that made it.
41:27And when I say a second generation that made it,
41:29I'm not trying to belittle other second or third generations.
41:32But making it as a second generation means matching or exceeding.
41:37You know what I'm saying?
41:38Like, matching or exceeding.
41:39I feel like it's a thing people don't understand about a son or a daughter is
41:43you want to be your father, mother, whatever, but you also want to be better.
41:47Right.
41:48You want to carry their name further.
41:50Either way, I had this picture of you on my wall in my apartment in L.A.
41:54Nine months later, I'm in this group with you.
41:57And you're taking it so seriously.
42:01And at the time, I feel like in your life, there's been all kinds of stuff that's happened.
42:05You mentioned kind of the peaks and valleys of the business.
42:09But I always told people, I said, as a mentor and as a person of,
42:14I'm slightly responsible for him and her, you really took it seriously.
42:19You genuinely did.
42:20And I never cared if you, like, made fun of us behind the scenes or, you know,
42:24they don't know, they're idiots.
42:26I never cared because
42:27Did I do that?
42:28No, I don't think you did.
42:29I kind of thought, like, maybe he doesn't like us.
42:33Oh, God, I loved you.
42:35On the surface, though, I thought, like, he is really good at this.
42:39And again, like,
42:41I was 29.
42:43I didn't know what the f*** I was doing.
42:45You weren't even 30.
42:46No.
42:47And I got to stand in the ring with you at the Royal Rumble
42:49when you had your little freak out about the sign not blowing up.
42:52And a great moment, by the way.
42:55I feel like if you haven't told that, you should tell that.
42:59Well, all it was was this guy.
43:01The Royal Rumble was one of those matches where I feel it genuinely changes your life to win it.
43:06It genuinely does because you become the North Star for WWE.
43:10You become this thing that they're fixated on.
43:13You're guaranteed for WrestleMania, whatever it is.
43:16And I remember we helped you win it.
43:20And then you're supposed to point at the sign for WrestleMania 25.
43:23Star. It's a big star.
43:25And the pyro didn't go off.
43:28So I'm thinking this is one of the greatest moments of your life.
43:30And you're pointing at the sign.
43:33And Stu, the cameraman, who we still have here today, a wonderful guy.
43:36I love him.
43:37He's banging the mat.
43:39Telling you to keep pointing.
43:41Keep pointing.
43:42And you looked at him and go, what do you want me to do?
43:44Point at the sign?
43:45And you start, like, making fun of him.
43:47And then finally, the pyro starts going off.
43:50Like, as this conversation's happening.
43:53And even with all that, I remember thinking, like, oh, man, I'm so lucky to see this
44:00and be in the ring and be part of this.
44:03I ended up winning two Royal Rumbles.
44:06And, man, two of them.
44:08And every time I think about you.
44:10Every time.
44:11Because I'm like, dude, he was just, like, right.
44:14And you know what I like?
44:15Here's what I like about you being such a big part of the youth of my career.
44:20You, nobody else was saying what you were saying.
44:24Like, you invested the time and the interest and the effort in me.
44:30And I feel like the only way you can ever pay that back is, like, oh, I got to prove him right.
44:37I got to prove him right.
44:38Like, we're saying we're to, you know, we're the next thing when you're, you know, us.
44:43You don't pay dues.
44:44Like, all these things that legacy was saying.
44:46And I'm thinking, my God, like, I have to make him right.
44:49And that's always been a really, like, exciting moment for me.
44:54When we do the stuff we do today on TV, just in general, like modern SmackDown, modern Raw, whenever you and I do anything,
45:03I have, like, really bad imposter syndrome.
45:07I'm sitting there and most of the time I'm looking at you like, oh, my gosh, this is my guy.
45:12We all have it.
45:13We all have it.
45:14Yeah.
45:16I sit there and I look at you.
45:17I'm like, this is the guy who, like, said, hey, he's cool.
45:21He's good.
45:22He's going to make it.
45:23He's going to be all right.
45:24And, man, just, like, there is a limited number of people I can say, like, 100% nothing would have happened without this person.
45:33You're 100%.
45:34Nothing would have happened for me without you.
45:36Just whether you wanted to, whether you cared to do it or not, you took this chance on me.
45:42And it's been, like, super just, there's a photo of us at WrestleMania.
45:49It's framed in my house.
45:51It's you just looking up at me.
45:53And to me, it's, like, it's the greatest thing.
45:56Right.
45:57Because it was like, oh, man, I proved him right.
45:59You know?
46:00Like, I didn't let him down.
46:02Tenfold.
46:03Tenfold.
46:06Yeah.
46:12Sorry.
46:13No, no, no, no, no, no.
46:15Sorry.
46:16Yeah.
46:17I didn't think this was going to be like this.
46:20Sweet.
46:22No, I am so proud of you, dude.
46:27Legitimately so proud of you.
46:30When you left, the balls it took for you to leave.
46:36Right.
46:38And then, like, start from scratch, kind of?
46:42But, I mean, that's not the right way to say it.
46:46Because, you know, you were Cody Rhodes.
46:49And, but, to do what you did, like, I could never have done what you did.
46:56Never.
46:58Never.
47:00So, like, you know, I'm, you know, like, when I say I'm proud of you,
47:06like, I legitimately mean it, you know?
47:11Man.
47:16Like, and watching your performances, like, week in and week out.
47:23God, the WrestleMania, the year before last, where you didn't win.
47:30Yeah.
47:31Oh.
47:33Oh, my gosh.
47:35Oh.
47:36Hurt you?
47:37Oh.
47:39But then to see it finally come, and then with The Rock,
47:47probably the most recognized guy in the world.
47:51Yeah.
47:52Wanted to come in and be the guy.
47:55And be a good guy.
47:59And he couldn't because of you.
48:03And then you came through, and then you succeeded.
48:07Like, oh, God, the butterflies, the feeling in my stomach watching the match.
48:14Like, that's the thing is, like, you did what no one else did.
48:22It's getting all mushy in here.
48:23It's quite all right.
48:24Quite all right.
48:26Thanks to Wheatley.
48:28Wheatley American Vodka.
48:30I know.
48:31I want to just, before, because we do this little game here, as well,
48:35that I got to get you involved in.
48:37But before that, Wheatley specifically has a drink for you.
48:42Do you know what makes up The Viper?
48:44Yeah, yeah, yeah.
48:45Vodka, lemonade, seeded jalapeno slices.
48:49This is Wheatley has named this on your behalf.
48:52It sounds really, really good.
48:54You're saying Wheatley made a drink after me?
48:57They did, yeah.
48:58Holy, I'm going to go, like, as soon as we're off camera, I'm going to find some jalapenos.
49:03Go find The Viper.
49:04Yeah, yeah.
49:05It's a great drink, actually.
49:06Yeah, it sounds amazing.
49:08Seeded jalapeno.
49:09Lemonade's got a little bit of sugar in it, just a little bit.
49:12Yeah.
49:13You know, because we got to, you know, and then jalapeno.
49:16Body provided by Nutella.
49:17We already know, you know.
49:18That's the Nutella brand.
49:20You know I'm not counting my sugars.
49:21Yeah.
49:22Or my carbs, or I don't even know.
49:24I just, I just eat, boys, Nutella.
49:28You know what I'll do?
49:29We're done.
49:30I saw you shooting the look.
49:32No, no, I got the game for you.
49:34It's over here.
49:35Wait, you got the what?
49:37So, here, I'll show you.
49:38Oh.
49:39Go ahead, what were you saying?
49:41I thought that was the Iggy, like, oh, get him out off my boss.
49:44We're not.
49:46There's never going to be that Iggy with you, ever.
49:50Okay, Wheatley American Vodka, they have a little jingle, a little commercial.
49:55Yeah.
49:56And I'm going to have you watch it.
49:57Okay.
49:58And then at the end, I want you to add in, I'll explain it to you once you watch it here.
50:03Okay.
50:04Vodka soda.
50:05With Wheatley.
50:06Wheatley is so good, I drink it.
50:08This song right here is for the red, white, and blue.
50:10You got good taste, and you drink like a toot.
50:13Wheatley is so good, I drink it.
50:15Red, white, and blue, baby.
50:16That's right.
50:17Wheatley American Vodka.
50:19So, what I'd ask you is, Wheatley, so good, I drink it, neatly, is their jingle and their slogan.
50:26If you had to put something instead of neatly, Wheatley, so good, I drink it, what would you put?
50:37Wow, so I'm immediately thinking of different words that rhyme with neatly.
50:43It doesn't have to rhyme.
50:45Yeah, so that's what's f***ing me up, Cody.
50:47Okay, well we've had, Wheatley, so good, I drink it, weekly.
50:52Oh!
50:53Wheatley, so good, I drink it, completely.
50:57I think someone said discreetly, and we instantly said no, that doesn't work for what we're going with.
51:04Wheatley, so good, I drink it.
51:05With Nutella?
51:07That's it, that's the answer.
51:10We haven't talked, you know, about the GOAT conversation.
51:14We've talked about best in the world and all of this.
51:17Here you are, 14-time world champion.
51:19You've made it clear you want to keep going.
51:25You've also said something that's fairly significant to this interview, which I think is rather important that you said it.
51:31You said, I'm a pro wrestler.
51:33One of the things I liked about my interactions with The Rock were that he does all this other stuff, and at the highest level does all this other stuff.
51:45But I could look at him and look into his eyes and go, ah, pro wrestler.
51:49Right.
51:50Right, but even with all that said, you said you're a pro wrestler, 14-time world champion.
51:55There is very little, I think, on paper that's left to do.
52:01In your mind, though, because that's what's the most important here, what do you want to accomplish now?
52:06What's the next thing?
52:08What's that thing that would be the next apex, the next peak?
52:13What is it that Randy Orton has left to do in the wrestling space?
52:18Besides be incredible and beloved and all those things that you will be, but what is the goal?
52:23What's the task?
52:26I think, to answer your question honestly, I think do this for as long as I can.
52:38Yeah.
52:39And make sure, and we brought up my wife, Kim, on a couple of occasions.
52:49She told me, she goes, when it's time to hang him up, I'll let you know.
52:54Yeah, yeah.
52:56So, not, you know, if this is when I need to hang him up, I don't want to go here.
53:04Yeah.
53:06Does that make sense?
53:07I don't want to retire and have a last match and then leave the company and have another last match.
53:18And then another one and another one.
53:20Like John, we talked about Cena quite a bit.
53:26I feel like when he says, this is my last Royal Rumble, this is my last Elimination Chamber, this is my last WrestleMania.
53:35Yeah.
53:36He means it.
53:37Yeah.
53:38If anyone's ever meant that, it's him.
53:41Sure.
53:42I think I want to follow suit and I want, when it's all said and done and it's over, I want it to be over.
53:52So I want to take it to that point and then tear it down and then ride off into the sunset, man.
54:00Maybe an uncomfortable question, but just a follow-up, because the answer makes all the sense in the world.
54:06There doesn't have to be an answer for this question.
54:09And new Randy and old Randy, as I kind of have classified you as old Randy, probably would just get hot at this question in general.
54:17New Randy, I feel like we'll try to answer it.
54:20Wheatley Randy, we don't know what's going to happen.
54:24If you're talking about the end, which I don't see, he doesn't, it's not, I don't see that.
54:31But who would you want to wrestle if you could pick somebody?
54:37So I'm 44.
54:42I'd like to wrestle at least until I'm 50.
54:46Okay.
54:47God, that makes me feel so old.
54:52But men have done it before me and tore the house down.
54:58Oh, yeah, yeah.
55:04It depends who's on top.
55:06If you were to ask me that question now and I had to give you an answer, I'd say you.
55:15Five years from now, maybe the answer is different, but something tells me it won't be.
55:23Not what I was expecting to hear, but I'll hold that very dear.
55:29And that is a wonderful way to close.
55:33That is by far the best episode we've done of this show.
55:37So I cheers to you.
55:41To Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, 2048.
55:46I don't know.
55:47Make it up.
55:48I love it.
55:49I love it.
55:53Ladies and gentlemen, Wheatley.
55:56So good.
55:58I drink it with Nutella.
56:00Ladies and gentlemen, again, we were blessed to have him.
56:03Randy, thank you so much.
56:05Much appreciated.
56:06I love you very much.
56:07Thank you, buddy.
56:08Likewise.
