00:00We knew that he'd stood on an IED, but we didn't know whether he was going to survive.

00:13It never for one minute crossed my mind that it would be me.

00:18Somebody turned up at my mum's work. She knew when someone from the army arrived, basically,

00:24that it wasn't going to be good news. And it's actually the first time I'd ever seen

00:28my dad cry.

00:32It just becomes such an everyday occurrence. He was emotionally just like, he was blanked

00:37out and I just become an emotional wreck, I'm not even going to lie.

00:42Vic's an absolute miracle that he's still here on this earth and he'll be the first

00:46to say that. He has no understanding of how he made it and others didn't.

00:53He is an incredible human being at the end of the day.
