A RM2.5 million investment is poised to enhance health services in two Kuala Selangor villages through the Kampung Angkat Madani Programme, led by the Health Ministry.

At the programme’s launch on Sunday (Aug 18), Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad expressed optimism that the initiative will help the community detect non-communicable diseases (NCDs) early and provide appropriate treatment.

Dzulkefly also noted that the Kampung Angkat Madani project includes infrastructure upgrades, benefiting 942 families and 4,585 residents across the two villages.

00:33That needs to be understood.
00:37Of course, I know that many people want to make a complaint against me.
00:42Why is it not my village?
00:44The village head of the ministry of education,
00:47in the same area as the village head of the ministry of education,
00:51Jeramdan and others.
00:53So we have more than 40 traditional villages.
00:58The decision is final.
01:01The decision of the jury is final.
01:03It cannot be changed.
01:04It cannot be brought to court.
01:08The suggestion that was proposed,
01:13was put forward by the former prime minister,
01:16Datu Setia Noor Ibrahim,
01:18through the 2024 Sponsorship Speech,
01:21gives a focus,
01:23gives focus,
01:25to complete the basic facilities in the village area,
01:30which may be a little out of the development of the primary line.
01:35Overall, the government has recognized and allocated RM100 million
01:42for 42 rural villages across the country,
01:47with a maximum allocation of 2.5 million per village.
01:56Thank you, Mr. Datu Setia Noor Ibrahim,

02:03Datu Setia PMX,
02:05for giving a maximum allocation of 2.5 million.
02:09Later, I will explain a little,
02:12even though it has been explained,
02:14what are the details,
02:16the spending that we will invest or invest.
02:24We will spend it on development projects in these two villages.
02:32After we analyze,
02:34after we weigh,
02:37all the candidates,
02:42these two villages,
02:44which are special for the jury and the jury panel,
02:48and are selected in this Angkat Madani village.
02:50Yes, you know,
02:51Bukit Badong and Harmony village in Bistari Jaya,
02:56which has 942 families,
03:01and has a total of 4,585 residents in these two villages.
03:07Congratulations again to Bukit Badong and Harmony,
03:11especially the village chiefs,
03:13Tok Zul Hizam and Tok Nasir.
03:17As a focus on health,
03:21and I am the representative of the people here,
03:25and I also play a role as Minister of Health,
03:29then the focus for these two village chiefs of the Ministry of Health,
03:34the first is the screening and health check.
03:38That is very important.
03:40Today, people know,
03:42as a minister,
03:43we will not only focus on things related to hospital development.
03:51Because the hospital,
03:53after we go,
03:55we get sick.
03:56That is not health care,
03:58that is called sick care.
04:01I often say,
04:03that is sick care.
04:04The Indonesians are smart,
04:05they say, what kind of house is that?
04:06That is a hospital.
04:09What really takes care of health is a clinic.
04:13What do we call it?
04:14A clinic?
04:15KKK health clinic.
04:18That is why,
04:19I am very patient,
04:20I make a promise,
04:22from curative care,
04:23sick care,
04:24reactive care,
04:25to only go to the hospital,
04:27there will be no stop,
04:29the crisis,
04:30I give a commitment,
04:31to health care,
04:33in clinics,
04:34more than 3,000 health clinics across the country,
04:37which we will do,
04:38the first is,
04:39screening.
04:41These two factors,
04:42diabetes,
04:43high blood pressure,
04:44is a higher income,
04:49in a study,
04:50health and mobility survey,
04:53in 2023,
04:54the latest,
04:56only a slight decrease,
04:58diabetes,
04:59and also high blood pressure,
05:01and also a slight decrease in cholesterol,
05:05but,
05:06the fourth factor,
05:07in all four,
05:09body weight,
05:12excess body weight,
05:13and obesity,
05:14still remains.
05:15One in two Malaysians,
05:18is obese,
05:20or,
05:21excess body weight,
05:2354%.
05:24So,
05:25how do I handle this,
05:27I want to summarize,
05:28is,
05:29screening,
05:30screening,
05:31screening.
05:33We have a program called,
05:34National Health,
05:37NHSI,
05:39National Health Screening Initiatives,
05:42National Program,
05:43National Screening.
05:45We do it,
05:46today, if I'm not mistaken,
05:47we have reached,
05:483.5,
05:5035 million,
05:51we have screened.
