James Martin halts ITV's Saturday Morning to reassure viewers after 'shotgun-like' noise is heard

James Martin halted ITV's Saturday Morning to reassure viewers after a 'shotgun-like' noise was heard.

The host, 52, was joined by chefs Claude Bosi and Jonny Lake on the show as they discussed a viewers classic Tarte Tatin recipe during a question and answer session.

Sitting outside his house, where the series is filmed, the trio discussed the different ways the pastry dish can be altered when they were interrupted.

James began the segment: 'They are good questions so far. We have got another one. Barbara Rogers, we loved your recipe for Tarte Tatin, it has won awards with the family apparently."

'I did a Tarte Tatin masterclass," James said while the viewer, Barbara, asked: 'I want to know is there another fruit you can use in a Tarte Tatin?'

00:00Apple is my favorite, and I think it's wrong to change it, but you can try with pineapple.
00:04Pineapple works very well because you've got a good amount of cooking you can give to it.
00:07I've had nice ones with pears and stuff, but apple's got to be the one.
00:11But it's not just that, you can use vegetables as well.
00:13You can use...
00:14I've seen onion, shallots.
00:15Endive, chicory endive.
00:17You can use shallots and bits and pieces like that.
00:19That isn't a shotgun going away, by the way, that's a crow scarer.
00:23The farmer's just planted some plants out there.
00:24We're going to get a lot of this during the day, really,
00:26but it's to stop the pigeons going and wrecking his plants as well.
