00:00The National Maritime Polytechnic has submitted its Comprehensive Modernization Plan to House Speaker Martin Mualdez

00:07through the Committee on Overseas Workers' Affairs and the party list of Rep. Jude Asidre.

00:15It will amount to more than Php 1.3 billion for the upgrade of the facility and infrastructure of the National Maritime Polytechnic.

00:26It will also help with the training and research capabilities of the institution.

00:31This action is in accordance with the mandate of the Department of Migrant Workers

00:35to strengthen and protect overseas Filipino workers.

00:39According to Executive Director Victor Del Rosario,

00:42this project will continue the legacy of the former First Lady Imelda Romualdez Marcos.
