00:00Alright, hey people, Jigsaw here to do an awesome video today of Samurai Jack, the complete
00:06series blu-ray set.
00:07This came out like several years ago, after the fifth season was done airing, but yeah,
00:13so they remastered the first four seasons into HD, I don't know if like they were saved
00:20on film or if they just upscaled like digital masters, but either way the episodes are on
00:26here in HD and everything, so yeah.
00:31Although the fifth season, that was going to happen anyways because it was made in HD,
00:35so yeah.
00:36And I watched the entire fifth season as it aired, it was okay.
00:44Some things you can call into question, the last episode ended on a very dour note, I
00:48don't know why, but yeah.
00:52Apparently the last season was like intended to be a movie, but for some reason I guess
00:59Warner Bros. didn't want to go for it, so eventually like Adult Swim greenlit a last
01:08season, so yeah.
01:12Which is fine, but yeah.
01:16So here we go with the set, got Aku's face right there, here it is.
01:22The only person known to come back in terms of the main cast that they got back that I
01:27could tell was Mako, but that's because he died unfortunately like about a decade before
01:34they even greenlit the season, so yeah.
01:38So they had to bring in Greg Baldwin, who has been his understudy and has played like
01:42General Iroh, or Zuko's Uncle Iroh in Avatar Season 3 and stuff outside of that, as well
01:51as filled in for him I think in the 2007 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film for the stuff that
01:59he didn't record and I guess had to re-record some of his other lines, but yeah, so from
02:07what I've read.
02:08And has also been doing his voice elsewhere where needed, so yeah, because he was an understudy
02:13for him.
02:14So yeah.
02:15Adult Swim, Greg Baldwin's just a, he seems like a pretty good dude, so yeah.
02:21Samurai Jack's on the play series, you got Jack right there, same stuff on the other
02:25side.
02:26In the back, Samurai Jack includes all five seasons, Seasons 1 through 4 of 13 episodes,
02:30Season 5 is 10.
02:32Special features, Evolution of Jack, Pitch Movies, The Making of Samurai Jack, again
02:38the scrapbook, the pitch, The Martial Arts of Samurai Jack, Lost Artwork Gallery and
02:43Commentary.
02:44I believe those are, most of these are special features from previous releases of the first
02:49four seasons.
02:50So yeah.
02:51Adult Swim and WB, and all that.
02:54You got on the bottom here, Technical Specifications, Main Feature, 1080p HD, 60x9, first four seasons
03:01are in 4x3, but okay.
03:03There'll be Digital, 5.1, Subtitles in English, STH.
03:06Special Features may not be in HD, Subtitles may vary, D14, for like, at least the last
03:12season.
03:13Color, 1,364 minutes, and all that.
03:18So yeah.
03:23So, here we go.
03:27First season, which this kind of just looks a little bootleggy to me, because it's just
03:30a screenshot from I think the opening, maybe redrawn.
03:36So yeah, Disc 1.
03:42So Season 2.
03:43There's no Inside Artwork, no there's no Inside Artwork for that one, that's weird.
03:54I guess for the first season there wasn't either, but.
03:58So Season 3, I have not seen a ton of episodes from this show before the fifth season, so
04:04it's going to be interesting to go through it.
04:10And what episodes I did see were from years ago when it originally aired, so yeah.
04:17So Season 4, and Season 5, which I think these might have been available, like, but on their
04:34own.
04:35I think it was originally, then they collected them in a complete series set, but yeah.
