00:00Paul, 4-2 defeat against Sittingbourne in the FA Cup. Is it fair to say a key incident there, 1-1, red card penalty, Jordan Stepney?
00:10Yeah, a little bit, a little bit. You know, it didn't help the cause. I thought it was, you know, barring the first bit of the game, the first 15 when, you know, we got to grips with our antics.
00:22We were pretty comfortable in the second half, you know, we were comfortable. You know, Pat's not had anything to do and we looked in control.
00:30And yeah, that moment changed it a little bit. Penalty, you know, we're chasing the game, but I think we got better as the game went on.
00:36Maybe it's just, you know, 10 minutes too much at the end.
00:39Yeah. And so you still did play well with 10, but it's obviously just gave them a leg up, didn't it, in terms of a goal and a numerical.
00:45But you still actually played well with 10, you know, and obviously got back to 2-2.
00:48Yeah, yeah. If you was watching it, you know, you'd have thought we had 11 and they had 10, but we just, you know, a bit of naivety on our behalf.
00:56You know, some of the players, you know, were called upon today, most of them didn't do themselves justice, but we just got sucked into their games.
01:03You know, we know what these Kent sides are like and they know exactly what we said.
01:07And yeah, you know, we just got sucked in at the end and it dampened a little bit of our performance.
01:13They were sort of quite physical and quite chirpy, weren't they?
01:16Yeah, physical, chirpy, kept going down all the time, you know, the bench was running the game, referee was weak.
01:23Yeah, and we, you know, we just had to try and, you know, forget about that.
01:28But like I say, you know, 15 minutes we did, we sort of, we let it go and then made a few subs at the end.
01:35And yeah, unfortunately a couple of subs got caught up in it.
01:39I'd say you came back from that first 15, got that level, Jack Dean, good header, and I'd say you were sort of, you know, pretty well on control there.
01:48Yeah, both keepers didn't really have anything to do, we didn't really threaten their keeper.
01:53We just, we were better with the ball and, you know, played in their half in front of them.
01:57You know, they had a solid back four that, you know, sort of cleared anything up in the air.
02:02But yeah, it's a little bit disappointing. I mean, it's not the end of the world.
02:06You know, we showed good togetherness with 10 men and, you know, we're fighting for each other.
02:11So yeah, it's just, well, you know, we move on now.
02:13Obviously league's priority and obviously you've got FA Trophy next week.
02:16So, you know, I suppose, you know, one blessing is, you know, it stops that sort of backlog, doesn't it? Sort of, you know, potentially.
02:24Yeah, we can maybe get a couple more league games in and, you know, kick on in the league.
02:28But yeah, again, we go next week, it's another Kent side.
02:31So I expect exactly the same. It's not a great spectacle to come and watch, but, you know, it is what it is in these games.
02:38Half-time 1-1, was it just sort of push on in that second half? Was that sort of the message?
02:44Yeah, it was just get better with the ball. You know, there was no quality in the first half.
02:49It was all a bit rash and, you know, huff and puff and 100 miles an hour.
02:53So we just needed to relax on the ball and, you know, move it around a little bit, especially in the seat.
02:58And I thought we'd done that quite well in the second half.
03:01Yeah, just unfortunate, you know, the incident for the penalty and the red card.
03:05Like I say, you know, 10 minutes too much.
03:08But as I say, 2-1 down, you showed that character with 10 to come back, play well.
03:12Kai, nice goal, nice move, well finished. And you say you looked almost a better team, really, with 10.
03:17Yeah, we were, yeah. Yeah, you know, it was literally till the 90th minute when they got the bird, you know, sort of sucked everything out of us.
03:27But, yeah, if we move on, you know, it is what it is. We won't take too much from that.
03:32All right, just a good free week now, training to focus on the next week now.
03:36Yeah, we're trying to train well this week. You know, we'll have Mark, obviously Mark will be back.
03:40Daz should be back to full fitness. Liam potentially as well.
03:45So, you know, I think we've got one coming in as well next week.
03:48So, yeah, we'll be in a good place this week.
03:51I see Daz came off the bench. I'm guessing he wasn't quite 100% then.
03:55Yeah, he just felt a little bit of stiffness in his knee.
03:57And we thought it wasn't a game, you know, to risk him from the start, knowing the physical side that they've got.
04:03But he showed second when he came on, you know, what a player he is for us.
04:07You know, everything come through him in the end.
04:10Yeah, I think if he started the game, it may have been different.
