LHDN, Customs to inspect Klang Valley businesses to ensure tax compliance

Thousands of Klang Valley businesses will be inspected for tax compliance by officers from the Inland Revenue Board (LHDN) and Royal Malaysian Customs Department as part of Ops Metro 2024.

00:26He said these include tax audit, investigation, collection, legal activities and business
00:32census visits.
00:33He said during the census visits, the customs officers will expand their base by identifying
00:38service providers who have the potential to be registered under the board.
00:43He said their officers will identify taxpayers who conduct cash economy activities and foreigners
00:49who are running businesses.
00:51He said the operation is also aimed at curbing tax leakage and improving the overall efficiency
00:56of the national tax management.
00:58OpsMetro 2024 will be carried out from August 19 until August 22.
