Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has defended his controversial statement allegedly touching on the 3R issue, saying it was a statement of fact.

In a Facebook post on Monday (Aug 19), the Perikatan Nasional chairman said he had no intention of insulting the royal institution of the Malay Rulers or incite division among the people.

00:19In a Facebook post on Monday, the Perikatan National Chairman emphasized that he had no
00:24intention of insulting the Royal Institution of the Malay Rulers or inciting division among

00:31The former Prime Minister reiterated that his speech in Nenggiri was a factual statement,
00:36not meant to disrespect the Institution of the Malay Rulers or instigate any sort of
00:41disharmony and therefore did not violate any of the country's laws.
00:46Muhyiddin also stated that he would fully cooperate with the police in their investigation.
