Transcript
00:00Liam Keane, you look lovely and very clean and I look not fresh shaven and in a hotel room but
00:06end of the day it is Taylor Swift tonight so we have to, we are on location so hopefully it's not
00:11it's not too bad. No, no I think you've done okay considering that I think you know most
00:16people now are used to the sort of scruffy Nathan Judah look so I think it's sort of,
00:20it's on brand already and it's working. Yeah, could you call Wolverhampton Wonders a little
00:26bit scruffy on Saturday? Could you call them a little bit punchy? There were some good things,
00:31there were some bad things, there were a few skirmishes, there were a few battles,
00:34they got the better of some but overall they were not the victor and today we're going to
00:39be talking about Arsenal 2, Wolverhampton Wanderers 0 and the good and the bad, the
00:46player-wise on the day, three ups, three downs and we'll be concentrating on those players and
00:51our assessment of them so let's go straight on with it Liam and let's talk about the good,
00:55let's start with the good, we'll have this half, do we have this half with the good and the second
00:59half with the bad after the advert break or do we go good bad, good bad? No, let's go good first and
01:04there might be slightly more to talk about on the bad but it's probably roughly even but I think
01:09let's start with the good and finish off on a dull note. Okay, so one player who I guess went
01:17under the radar because they're conceding two goals and we're talking about a defender, you're
01:20like okay well why are we talking about a defender who was good but I must admit and I think we both
01:25were discussing this during the afternoon, someone who would not have started had, well you'd
01:32accept, you'd assume that Nelson Semedo, that Matt Doherty wouldn't have started but I felt like
01:37Doherty did very, very well, there were very few attacks to come down that right-hand side or
01:42threatening attacks from Arsenal and actually the way that he was up on the other end of the pitch
01:48supporting the attack as well, he had a very solid afternoon for someone who would expect
01:54being on the outside looking in. Yeah, exactly, I think had Nelson Semedo not been sent off at
02:01Liverpool on the final day of last season that he wouldn't have started this season with a three-game
02:06ban and Matt Doherty I imagine would have started the season on the bench, it didn't work out that
02:11way, he started at Arsenal and was really quite impressed actually with what he was able to put
02:17in because look we know what he's all about, he's an experienced player, likes to get forward,
02:22arrives at the far post, makes intelligent runs, there was one opportunity when Chiquinho put the
02:27ball in in the second half, he made a good run, maybe slightly missed time, he made a good run
02:33towards the back post and got ahead on it so we know what Matt Doherty is all about but what he
02:38did put in, which he did at times last season as well but it was few and far between because of
02:44Nelson Semedo's form, was I would describe a complete performance for Matt Doherty. Defensively
02:50I don't think he got the better of on any or many occasions against very tough
02:56forwards by the way in Martinelli, Trossard coming on in the second half as well.
